Topic: Nintendo Selects game cards feel off compared to regular ones

I noticed that placing the Nintendo Selects releases of Animal Crossing New Leaf and Tomodachi Life into my 3DS gives me a similar feeling of inserting a cheap flash cartridge into my old DS phat; that awful, cheap, spongy feeling when inserting a fake cartridge. Did they use lower quality plastic for the Nintendo Selects re-releases, since none of my other 3DS games have such problem when inserting them, or are the game cards slightly larger?
Also, the newest game I have is the Sega 3D Collection, and that doesn't have a spongy feeling when inserting it.

I don't think 3DS games fit into a DS...

@Joeynator3000 Err, I was referring to that cheap feeling of putting an old flash card into a regular DS. More specifically, a TTDS. The Nintendo Selects game cards give me a similar feeling when playing them on my 3DS.
