Topic: Nintendo Life becoming more taxing on 3DS browser?

Whenever I first started visiting NL, my 3DS had absolutely no trouble whatsoever loading up any article, unless the number of comments exceeded 200 (and this was back before the mobile version was created).

Lately, my 3DS has been having more & more trouble loading up NL. Despite the site being in an easier to handle mobile form, my 3DS will constantly fail to load any article that has more than 40 comments. After 3-5 times of reloding a particular page it'll finally work, but at the expense of all images (meaning no screenshots or avatars load up).

I don't have any issues with the forums, however. Just the main site.

BTW, I know the 3DS browser is kinda sucky in general, but I really have no other options at the moment.

So, are anyone else's 3DS systems having the same issue with the site? Have there been any changes to the site recently, that might be the cause? Has a recent 3DS update made the browser worse?

Just really confused about this, because if anytning, my 3DS should be having an easier time than ever manoeuvering the site.

i dont have such problems when i surf the internet with my 3ds while on the toilette

Yeah, I too have noticed it failing to load images on articles.

I have the original 3DS.

First of all, I use a 3DS only. Just letting you all know. :3
Anyway, whenever an image is on the top of NL (Pkmn Mystery Dungeon) it loads way slower. And when you get the boxes in place of images, hold the stylus on them until it turns yellow, then release.
But I also have been reloading with less and less comments. I just reloaded one with 60 comments, when 100 used to be fine.

I have an XL and my brother has a regular 3DS, and I have to say there ARE performance differences between the two. For example, when pressing a shoulder button to open the camera, you have to wait an age for it to load on his, whereas on my XL it is almost instantaneous.
We have the same system software, my SD card is more packed, I have more photos.
I never have trouble loading Nintendo Life on my 3DS browser.

Well, I'm officially unable to read the "3DS Report Card" article.

With just 70 comments, my 3DS has refused to load it up, even after 20 tries. I may have to stick to the forums if this keeps up (a shame, because NL's articles were nice to read. oh well...).

I'm having the same problems, and also have been noticing other crappy things after the update.

When I view a pic. on Facebook now, it doesn't just load the entire picture and allow me to scroll with the stylus and/or circle pad anymore, no... Instead, now it just shows less than half of the picture, and you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom in order to click and slide a slider to actually scroll the picture left & right...

Basically, the update made the 3DS's browser worse.

No one of the Authors of this site will read this thread ever...

@Mars_AltGr: I think @Philip_J_Reed has just proven you wrong.

Based on what @3DSonicPizzaHD says, it sounds like it may have to do with a recent 3DS update, rather than a site update.

Hope it gets fixed in the next update...

Perhaps it's the ads causing problems on the 3DS browser? I know, it's a guess, but if they're heavily image based like the ones you can see normally, then that might be a bit much for the 3DS browser to handle...

Just a thought.
