Topic: Nintendo Holding an 3DS online briefing this friday

from the press conference:

-November update will have Streetpass Quest 2 (Save Mii), more puzzle pieces, and you will be able to see where the Mii is from with a map. Video recording looks really cool and has some different features like stop motion!

-A free messaging/drawing/photo sharing app with be released!

-Mario Kart 7 shown a lot (a Mario Kart channel revealed for the 3DS). Mario 3D Land. Monster Hunter.

Various downloadable titles. Some other cart games. Overall, other than the update stuff, not much to speak of to this event. no mention of next year's NIntendo games (like Crossing! sigh).

Streetpass Quest 2 looks good. Though I was hoping for a new game. Oh and more puzzle pieces won't help me. I can't get anymore of the current ones. SIGH

Overall, disappointing event. Not worth getting up so early for really...

So we need a separate app to message people? Oh well, better than nothing, though I'd have liked to do it directly from my friend's list with a firmware update instead.

And 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free according to the GameFaqs message boards.

Available Free to club Nintendo members in Japan... does anybody know if this will be worldwide??

I watched the confrence but dont Speak Japanese, but I saw the Kid Icarus announcement and something about 3000 3DS covers.

There is some sort of Club Nintendo contest, and Nintendo will be sending out 3000 limited edition Mario-themed 3DS's to people who participate. Everyone who participates will also be able to download 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free.

Thank you, was woried a bit incase it was 3000 copies of Kid Icarus available and then rest would pay.

Not really excited about Kid Icarus 3D Classic. Played the orignal on the Wii and it was OK, but not great. A bit too hard too. lol.

Though I'm VERY excited about Kirby's Adventure 3D Classic. I hope the U.S. gets it too! Finally a 3D Classic I'm excited about!
