Well, when PSN was down, we got 4 free games, and when Nintendo Shop is down, what do we get? Nothing. JK
But maybe they're getting ready for the ambassador program.

Well thats just great I was just about to go out and buy an eshop card so I could download Gargoyles Quest now I find out the eshop is down for maintenance. Why update the eshop then take it down, couldn't they have done maintenance yestarday not right after the shop updates?

My point exactly! I also said kind of the same thing today in the 3DS Virtual Console forum, was trying to dl Gargoyle's Quest and 'bam!' I checked the news section last night and it didn't have this message there about maintenance, so I guess they took that down too! LOL

Oh well... If I can wait six more days before I get to play Xenoblade Chronicles then I'm sure everyone will survive several hours waiting to play Gargoyle's Quest. =P

Not up yet, bit ridiculous since the 10 NES games come next week.

Some guy on another message board contacted Nintendo about the tool and they said that it will be available on August 26th. So that's tomorrow.

Wonder why it's taking so long for the Europe tool.
Probably something to do with it involving so many countries and languages that it makes the whole process complicated or something I guess.
We probably had it up first here in Australia because it's just one country (not counting New Zealand, etc.) and everyone speaks English.

@MiracleBlaze - While Nintendo said the 10 NES games would be available on Sept. 1, they don't have to be downloaded that day. I understand your point about getting them as soon as possible and all that, but it's not like they won't be available for Ambassadors after a certain period of time.

Exactly.

@ChibiLink I just posted what it said on the Australian eShop. It's strange considering those aren't even Australian times lol

Nice way to boost sales by taking down your online shop on new download day, Nintendo. lol. Couldn't you have done this overnight in each country? Oh wait. Maybe this IS overnight in Asia ;) Just shows you how out of touch they are with their American (foreign) customers.

As far as I know Japan's just a couple of hours behind Australia and it's 12:24pm here... hardly overnight lol
I didn't really have much idea of when this maintenance was going to be starting and ending considering the date in the Australian eShop wasn't even in Australian time.
...Not that I'm planning on buying anything new from the eShop at the moment anyway.

The maintenance just deleted all of my 3DSWare and DSiWare data. No idea of whether I still have the licenses until the eShop comes back up. So this is officially my most-hated maintenance ever.

How is that possible? An easy way to fix that is to remove your SD card when you connect to the eShop.

Yeah that was my reaction, except more angry as you can imagine. I got my 3DS back from repairs today, and all the data was intact save one DSiWare game, so I just copied it back onto the system from my backup save on my SD Card. At that point my 3DS data was exactly the same as it had been before I sent the system in.

Later tonight I wanted to check the eShop, having forgotten it was down. When I exited it, it acted like I had just downloaded Nintendo Video and Pokedex 3D and deleted literally every other downloaded piece of software from my system and my SD Card (I still have the DSiWare backup saves but that doesn't meaning anything if I lost the licenses, which time will tell).

@tendoboy What? Also, all my SD Card "3DSWare" data was deleted as well.

Before you connected to the eShop, you should have removed your SD card so nothing like that could happen.

Yes because that's always supposed to happen when you connect to the eShop. I'm sure you take it out every time. @y2josh has me covered. ;)
I still don't understand why you're calling it a "fix" since it's too late for that now.
