I believed that Nintendo should not stopped doing production for the Nintendo 3DS, and here are reasons why:
Stopped making games for it- if Nintendo stopped doing production for the Nintendo 3DS, then they and 3rd-party support will also stopped making games for it because there won't be any new games to played on the Nintendo 3DS.
Lack of games getting released in the Western Region- this means that later new games that was only released in Japan probably won't come out in the Western Region. Also, when the Nintendo DS era ended lacked of games came out on the Nintendo DS like Digimon Story: Lost Evolution, Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 3, and Draglade 2, etc.
Lack of 3DS Repairs/New systems- this means that Nintendo will no longer have the parts to repaired the Nintendo 3DS handheld systems or replaced them if there's something wrong with it.
I think that both Nintendo and 3rd-party support should continue to make games for the Nintendo 3DS for a decade just like Sony's PS consoles which also means more games that may be released in the Western Region. So, Nintendo fans please stop hoping Nintendo should end production for the Nintendo 3DS is it hasn't been 10 years or so since it first came out.
Games like Dragon Quest I,II, and III Remakes, Dragon Quest Monsters 1 and 2 Remakes, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3, Dragon Quest X Online, Medabots games, Yokai Watch 3: Sukiyaki, Sushi, Tempura, etc. didn't come out yet in the Western Region.
The thing is even though the Gameboy Color was extremely popular and everyone loved it, it still stopped production because their technology continued to get better.
Sorry to say it, but everything comes to an end one day.

If 3ds wants to have a longer lifespan, they'd either rev up a NEW NEW 3ds, or make it where you can play 3ds games on Switch (even though that would've been better on Wii U, but they could find a way to make it work on Switch).
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
We have to keep in mind that it is about business. No matter how old, new, obsolete, newer, etc. the little device is; as long as 3DS gives the profit Nintendo wants/needs, 3DS will be produced. It is built with really good quality so it will last for years.
In terms of sales, 3DS sales were increased after the Switch.
We just can enjoy 3DS while it last. By the way, It will be another lovely playing device waiting by the time our 3DS stops working.
