Hello

I don't suppose any of you know if Nintendo plan to release the black Nintendo 3DS XL console as a standalone handheld. I am interested in buying a 3DS XL but it has to be black and I don't want Monster Hunter.

I know what you mean. I don't understand why Nintendo hasn't released it separate in US or UK. From what I hear it is a color that sells well.

i thought this was coming out whenever the bundle did. amazon.co.uk have it listed, but it's still pre-order status. this is the XL i want, looks a lot nicer than any of the others colours imo. not after the MH bundle either, just the console.

methinks we'll see a zelda edition based on the all-black for the new game too.

you'd need to export the whole account to another 3ds as it's a digital (pre-installed) version.

I'm going to buy the black 3DS XL Monster Hunter bundle today with some other games. I am not a massive fan of Monster Hunter but I'll give it a go and if I don't like it I guess I can just delete it from the system. I found out that it can be re-download from the eShop if I change my mind. With all of the positive comments and reviews it must be worth a play.

I've heard that Monster Hunter needs some serious investment and then you'll be completely hooked. But SERIOUS investment. 12 hours. But if you've got the time (and the patience!) apparently it really pays off.
