it looks better on real 3DS, it wont look nothing like this crosseyed youtube crap
That's the truth of the matter. I really am looking forward to the Nintendo 3DS! Let us pray that next will really be a good year, especially for the economies of the world.

I got a better idea (better than this or the glasses way, lol) make an animated gif. xD You know where it switches between the two images within split seconds. :3

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Those images just look like the camera is rotating around a scene. That's what you see when you rotate the camera in a game using a normal screen. Nothing like the 3DS.
I never said it would be the 3DS (just like cross-eyed isn't the 3DS), it's just an example that it works. The reason it isn't convincing is that it isn't switching fast enough. But you get the same effect when you just put the two images next to each other and use the cross-eyed technique. Only it isn't moving then. You clearly see things coming at you, the rock in front of the other rock, the guys arm in front of the rest of his body etc.
I tried it with some cross-eyed 3DS images I could find online. Same thing. You clearly see things in front of one another, but because of the slow movement, it's not convincing.

Crysis in 3D! Cross your eyes so the white dots at the top line up, then relax and enjoy. O_O [youtube:3auOYN9EFQI] (You can click the 3D button and set it to cross-eyed)
@HolyMackerel: That was awesome! It's long been my opinion that the biggest problem with first-person games is the lack of depth perception, and that video confirms my suspicions.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
That video does not look too good in the 3D...as if the images aren't lined correctly for the 3D to function properly.

To get a better idea here is a video of OoT that someone recorded from an N64 emulator that had a 3D plugin. This is all going into the screen but you can do it both ways... tech isn't any different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zp4btJ0lUY
Works with the crosseyed method or if you have some of those tinted 3D glasses lying around. Should also work if you have Nvidia 3D shutter glasses... I think.
