I watched them using my good old red and blue 3D glasses. It was pretty cool. Can't wait to see these with out glasses and red and blue everywhere!

That Avatar video was stunning, if too low res and low frame rate to fully appreciate it. That is exactly the sort of stereoscopic effect the 3DS will have. This is exciting.

That was very intresting! The third image appeared, but it was an illusion of the eyes. We'll still have to wait to get the 3DS to really know what the 3D effect looks like.

@NintyFan Actually it's exactly how the 3DS will work. It is an "illusion of the eyes" as you said. However, instead of crossing your eyes to make two images appear to overlap, the 3DS will project different images into either eye. It's the same principle, just without the eye strain.

I just used my 3-D glasses from the Monsters vs Aliens blu-ray (had to flip em around though, haha), and it worked pretty well. The Resident Evil, Nintendogs, and Star Fox were REALLY impressive. What's so exciting is that these screens still won't live up to how awesome it will look in our hands, seeing it with our own eyes.

That's the truth of the matter. I really am looking forward to the Nintendo 3DS! Let us pray that next will really be a good year, especially for the economies of the world.

I used to practice crossing my eyes when I was a kid, so I am a pro at it. That was neat, though it was a little tricky to find the 3D at times.

I got a better idea (better than this or the glasses way, lol) make an animated gif. xDYou know where it switches between the two images within split seconds. :3
74. Posted: Thu 28th Oct 2010 01:20 BST
@BellGoRiiing That wouldn't work, it would just look like it's flicking between two perspectives very quickly. <_<

It works, I found some:

they give a 3D effect in the background, but the image can't seem to protrude out of the screen sneaker

Those images just look like the camera is rotating around a scene. That's what you see when you rotate the camera in a game using a normal screen. Nothing like the 3DS.

Just saying it looks 3D-ish, lol. Thought it would be better than the two image thing, try it with the 3DS screens. xD
79. Posted: Thu 28th Oct 2010 02:24 BST
I never said it would be the 3DS (just like cross-eyed isn't the 3DS), it's just an example that it works. The reason it isn't convincing is that it isn't switching fast enough. But you get the same effect when you just put the two images next to each other and use the cross-eyed technique. Only it isn't moving then. You clearly see things coming at you, the rock in front of the other rock, the guys arm in front of the rest of his body etc.
I tried it with some cross-eyed 3DS images I could find online. Same thing. You clearly see things in front of one another, but because of the slow movement, it's not convincing.

You could actually get animated 3D images. I'll see if I can find some.
Now THIS is awesome. (Although not animated.)
Crysis in 3D! Cross your eyes so the white dots at the top line up, then relax and enjoy. O_O(You can click the 3D button and set it to cross-eyed)
