Very nice first commercial! They NEED to start advertising this thing in the ads before 3D movies in theaters. That way they can truly show people what it looks like.....but stress the fact that you don't need those glasses currently on your face.

Hmm...Weird that they choose to use CG over actual gameplay footage, but whatever. It's a lot better then that Japanese ads I saw.

Yeah, we got similiar ones like that in Holland. Just people being amazed by the 3D effect. I think that's Nintendo's strategy because I see similair commercials on youtube from different countries. And it's a good commercial. Just make people curious.

Hey, look, it's "G-Man" Gideon Graves (looks like him, minus glasses), playing 3DS!
Gideon: KIMBERLY!
Kim: We are Sex Bob-Omb. We're here to film 3DS commercials, and make money and stuff.

Damn, the US ads are waaaaaaaay better than ours (UK ones). Everytime a 3DS advert comes on over here, not only does it just look like they're playing the DSi at first, but all of the reactions made by those normal, everyday people are very cringeworthy. D:

Nintendo, sort it out! Bring us something like these "Take a look inside" adverts, they're awesome!

The e3 3DS teaser commercial with Iwata, Miyamoto and Reggie was still the best.
As for the 1st American 3DS commercial, decent I guess. Yet those reaction video's are absolutely painful and that Street Fighter 3D commercial? Terrible song choice, I bet the 'gangsta's' will start shuffling around the tv to that one.

As far as hand held commercials go, nothing imo will ever top the Game Boy commercials from the 80's and early 90's.

I had exactly the same thought a few weeks ago. It would be quite the brilliant marketing campaign.

How do you propose you demonstrate 3D on a 2D screen?

Huh? No, my statement meant that I was just surprised they didn't use in game graphics instead of CG. It kind of gives a false impression of the graphical abilities of 3DS. I have no issues with how they use the camera to show the 3D effect from the inside.

Didn't someone talk about how they were trying to figure out how to advertise the 3DS back sometime around E3.
I was pretty sure they brought up that they could advertise it at 3D movies but the problem was then that people had to wear glasses to see the 3D in the theater and it would send mixed messages or something.

Not what I expected out of Nintendo. Its an OK commercial. Not the best. I have a feeling Nintendo could have put a bunch of more effort in it.

Inactive for such a long time due to one's disrespect and my friend getting on my account when I left my laptop at his house. Back, and not going to start any trouble.
