INB4 someone complaints about the position of the cameras, which makes no sense whatsoever.

Too bad this didn't happen sooner. I'm not repurchasing a handheld I already have because it has a new coat of paint.

I'm surprised they're not holding off on selling this closer to the release of Pokemon X and Y. Imagine the sales figures for a special edition bundle of Pikachu-themed XL with Pokemon X or Y.

Nintendo ususlly themes the systems to that gen when a new one comes out.
Like the Dialga + Palkia one in gen 4.

They probably want to get this one before Easter, and with Gates to Infinity.

i'm hoping it will come out sooner rather than later since i need a new one for me so I can give my daughter my son's purple one and give him my blue XL. She wants to play my moshi monster's game (3DS version) all the time and she only has a DSi.

is an all white/black XL too much to ask?

well it's official....it's coming out the same day as mystery dungeon and will be available at toysrus, target, walmart and gamestop in NA. It's 199.99 and quantities are limited. i'm crossing my fingers that it will still be available come april 5th.

i tried to preorder it online through eb games canada but just as i was inputting my credit card number it says it's no longer available online....i really wanted the pikachu XL

Lol yeah moshi monsters 3ds is an addicting 3ds game. I hope they still have the pikachu 3ds xl around by august that's when I plan on getting it. If not sooner.

I'm still not fond of pokemon but love pikachu he's soo cute.

I just called two different gamestops & they said they are not taking pre-orders for the game system at all & that it is on a first come first serve basis on sunday.

Not thrilled with that answer personally.

that sucks....i don't know why they wouldn't do that. it's on their website for pre-order. so it would be safe to assume that the store would do the same thing. well i know EB Games Canada does preorders for systems. I know plenty of people who preordered Wii U's in stores......maybe the people that you talked to are wrong.
