It'll be physical for me. Much better than digital, IMO. Cool box, no worries about erased data (including the game itself), that new game smell, doesn't eat up a bunch of memory.
Still I'm happy they're going to be offering this, for those who want it.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
The slide that specifically states that New Super Mario Bros 2 will be the first...no, actually it's not really clear either way from the way its worded.

A box which takes up physical space and smells like perfume from the old woman who last picked it is more likely. And how the hell do you accidently erase data?

Maybe I'm not interpreting the wording the right way, but I'm not seeing it specifically stated that NSMB2 will be the first game to embrace that model, just that the system will start with launch of NSMB2.

I'm somewhat of a dinosaur, I guess. Given the choice, I will always take a physical copy of a game, that I can see, feel, et cetera. The experience from tangibles is too important to me to consider digital (though with wafer thin instruction booklets, even that's going downhill). It's interesting that they'll be doing it, and I'm glad people will have the option. I will unquestionably be getting a physical copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2, however. Plus, it gives me a chance to be around other 3DS owners also in the store to buy it, and score me some StreetPasses! Try getting those with a digital NSMB 2 copy.
By the way, what do you Uprising fans take from this paragraph? Do you feel it's putting Uprising down as a game that's already made most of its sales? Or do you take heart in it being called an "evergreen title" that will get continued support?
It is generally said that game titles for skilled players sell a lot in a fairly short period of time after their launch and it is difficult for them to be long-sellers. We will nevertheless make “Kid Icarus: Uprising,” which was released worldwide last month and has been highly appraised by users, known to consumers who like action games into an evergreen title.
...who the hell brings their handheld to a store, unless there's an event going on or you work there? I really want to know, because I've never seen anyone do it before.
I assumed it meant it wont be the first game that's out digital (unchained blades) but Mario will be the first game when the digital release is the same as retail release.
Edit: and it says that all games at wii u launch will be digital as well as retail on date.

Yeah who the hell would ever take a handheld anywhere with them? That's absurd, leave that at home!

There aren't a lot of opportunities where I am, so that's about as good as it gets. I did get 3 StreetPasses going to pick up either Mario Kart 7 or Super Mario 3D Land last year. Never gotten more than one at once on any other occasion.

And thus the mystery of the 3DS battery life was solved.

Well, yeah, it will just be the first Nintendo published title to get that treatment. But Unchained Blades from what I know of isn't going to be sold at retail at all but rather just a downloadable eShop title.

I do. And I'm sure most 3DS owners do. What they don't, however, is going around holding them in plain sight like complete weirdos.
Iwata singled out Britain in his comments on software sales, noting that it is now Nintendo's worst market in Europe (they're selling far greater quantities in Germany, France, Spain, and others, and occupying many more spots on the software charts). What gives, Brits? Get yer' act together.

I do. When the system encourages you to take it out with you to places to complete built in games and unlock goodies what the heck do you expect? Stores like Target or GameStop have a good chance of having other people who carry their 3DS. I take mine to work every week and have been getting 1 Streetpass a week for the last 3 weeks.
Nice, I'm getting this retail though. But if they do the same for the new Fire Emblem 3DS game I can see myself downloading that. Fire Emblem somehow fits as DLC to me.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
