Nintendo just released new DLC for NSMB2 and guess what... IT'S FREE! If that's not good enough, it's made up of levels remade for a new audience: World 1-1 (SMB1), World 1-2 (SMB1), World 1-1 (SMB3) (My personal favorite level remake), non-specific level from Mario Bros. (not to be confused with SUPER Mario Bros.), and World 1-4 (SMB1)! I played it and it is awesome! I actually dreamed of levels like this to be in NSMB2! New Super Mario Bros. 2 is available now for Nintendo 3DS for $39.99 in physical form and digital form and the DLC pack is available for for free in the Coin Rush Shop on NSMB2's Coin Rush Mode right now, until January 31st, 2013. When Februrary 1st, 2013 arrives it'll cost the normal $2.50.

Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8

The DLC levels are really. It's fun to see retro levels in a new way not to mention they are full of little secrets. Some of the secrets are based off of parts of other levels from the same game. This DLC was a really nice gift.

This ir a reminder on why I'm a Nintendo fan. I really hope Nintendo continues to sprinkle free DLC amidst the paid content.

In fact, idea: Christmas Day, they can gives us a present: a Christmas themed coin rush pack. For free! That would be sweet!

First level, and I'm really impressed by the design already.

Yeah... You'd best try to get Steam, PSN, XBLA, practically any other service and you can expect much more in the way of savings.

Another free pack, or perhaps a Christmas bundle, the other 5 packs for 8-10 dollars.

Nice to see Nintendo giving us this level pack for free. Heck, it's probably the only one I've ever downloaded, since I see the prices for the others as being a tad steep for what they really are.

As far as content though, I like how they varied up the remakes by adding new areas and connecting what would otherwise be diferent levels together.

Those were great with having so many hidden paths and goodies. I hope we get more levels like these for the next pack!

Just finished jamming with this pack. Amazing nostalgia value and the best Coin Rush pack yet. Thanks, Nintendo!!!

By far the best Coin Rush pack. I've bought them all so far and got a fair amount of play out of all of them, but I think this one will be all I play until another course comes out. It's a blast playing these classic levels and finding all the different routes and secrets.

It's also ridiculously easy to max out the coin meter on this one, which is fine. My goal is to hit 30K without using the last flagpole. I've managed 27,945.

Freakin sweet. I just finished my first play through of the main game a few days ago so I didnt even bother looking at the coin rush mode yet but I will definitely download this one.

I really love this coin pack, the way they remixed the old levels is just awesome, funny and extremely challenging. And it's free! Talking about challenges: anybody know how to get the second Gold Coin in course 1? It is located halfway-thru the underground tunnel but gets yanked away just as you are about to collect it.

I need to get that one, as well! I really like the blue and dark backdrops. Plain like the originals.

Throw a green shell at it! And my favorite course is the SMB3 1-1 remake course, because it contains two levels from (one of) my favorite Mario game and a throwback of Mario Bros. SMB3 forever!

Throw a green shell at it!

yeah, i already figured it out altho i use the red koopa and throw it backwards... the solution came to me while i was hanging up the washing
Anyway, ive almost made it to the 30.000 coin target and the total number of coins is rapidly increasing! At first i thought i'd never make it to 1 milllion coins but that is now within easy reach. THis DLC pak adds a significant amout of replay value to an already brilliant game. Many kudoos to the Big N for giving it away
