The only reason Rayman Origins is praised the way it is, is because it's the first Rayman game in over 10+ years that is slightly above average. Even Sonic has done a better job than that limbless buffoon.

I fully agree.

I fully agree.
Not only that but it's one of the games on HD consoles that stands out because it's not a FPS

I hate sonic, possibly one of my least favorite franchises around. They first Rayman anihilates every 2D sonic platformer ever created. And Origins seems to have been praised because of it's incredible Artsy fartsy and higly detailed beautiful art style and fanstatic score.
An undercooked, overpriced meal may look good but why pay so much for so little in return? That's Rayman Origins. It may look good but that's it. And the score sounds like something a 9 year old conducted. It's that annoying.

Anyways, how about we get back to talking about Mario.
That's a swell idea.
Yeah because that part of the discussion was going really booming, huh?

'stops'

'and says', this game is gonna be great!
I will also add, just to complain about something different, that a major 2d platformer on a system isn't as rare as it was in 2006 or even 2009 and the amount of old 2d platformers I can get for cheap and the absurd amount of indie 2d platformers nowadays that often try to do something new(er) and more innovative makes this full 30 (40?) dollar game that is so similar to previous games seem like a questionable buy at best. I honestly ignored any bias I had while typing that post, just so you know. That's why I'm not "HOW DARE YOU" and stuff. Yeah.

No need for the sass. "Yeah because" the thread is about New Super Mario Bros. 2, isn't that a something strange? Just saying we should get back to what this topic's actually about. Surprisingly that wasn't directed towards you at all.
We got a little off topic for a few posts to talk about something a little more interesting than anything within this topic. I'm so sorry.
Anyway, yeah, New Super Mario Bros. 2. I wonder if Wario is in it.
You would think Wario would be in NSMB2 because of all the gold coins. That would make perfect sense. So no, he's probably not in it, lol. I have slim hopes for a 3DS Wario Land 5 (or 6 if you count Shake It! as 5).
Something things I'm happy about: Koopa Clown Car, Reznor, return of Super Mario World boss music... We're transitioning AWAY from the SMB 3 theme in these NSMB games, and TOWARDS the SMW theme! Then, there is the SMW-esque map, hill backgrounds, and Baby Yoshis in NSMB U. So, as a Mario fan whose favorite in the series is SMW, we're going in a direction I'm happy with. God, I'd love if you go to Dinosaur Land in NSMB U!!! With the wide variety of Baby Yoshis, you have to wonder.
Let's attack aggressively, kupo! :D
