Never...

You mean Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island? :D

No, because Yoshi's Island wasn't a Mario Game, it was a Yoshi game. The "Super Mario World" label was thrown onto the title in the western world to boost sales. It's like how SML3: Wario Land isn't considered a Mario Land game. They're spinoff franchises that were associated with a bigger brand, for sales. Even in the Nintendo Power Mario special, they don't cover Yoshi's Island or Wario Land, because they're not part of the "Super Mario" franchise.

Yeah. It's nothing like Super Mario World and not considered to be part of Super Mario franchise but at least it's 10 times better game than World :)
I love Yoshi's Island.

Oh, I wasn't trying to dispute the quality of the game, I have it on my 3DS and love it. It's just technically not part of the "Super Mario" franchise. Sorry if I sounded disrespectful to the game's quality, wasn't trying to do that (although it is true I personally prefer World, but that's a whole other discussion, lol).

Why do people enjoy playing games like this on small stupid system? I want to enjoy games on big screen! I will never never support handheld gaming! Makes me just want to puke!

Well, let me put it this way. Where I live, I don't get the TV that often, so my 3DS (and the portables before it) is the only way I can really get in some gaming time. While the TV has to be shared (and I'm bottom of the pecking order), my 3DS is exactly that, MINE. It's pretty much where I go to for my entertainment. It also makes long car trips, waiting in waiting rooms, and waiting at the laudrymat much more exciting events. Don't get me wrong, I love gaming on a TV, but I love portables too (also seems like devs are willing to make more creative games on portable systems).

There's apparently a 3D trailer on the eShop (in NA at least)..

The new content shown has me concerned that this game is going to have no challenge - with 1-UPs being more common than ever.

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

Renzor makes this an insta-buy for me, even if it turns out to be easy.

Also, even if it's easy, there's no doubt it'll be fun :)

I'm excited to see what the collecting coins element actually is. I hope there's more to it than just collecting 100 to get an extra life. The game would be ridiculously easy.

I really hope Wario is in this game in some way, shape, or form. Since Bowser is going to be the villain once again, that knocks Wario from the possible post. He could still be a playable character or just a story character who may be behind the coin extravanganza. I would be surprised if he's not in the game at all, since this game just screams Wario.

Whoa, Nintendo Network? DLC anyone?

Anyhow, my concern is how it's going to be sooo easy to get 1ups...

Cool, I'm guessing the Nintendo Network is for online multiplayer? That would be amazing.

Maybe it'll be like Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins? Collect enough coins and then spend them on items in a store? But if it's 100 coins = 1up... then yeah, this'll be a cake walk.

Wonder what it'll be used for though... I know they had some multiplayer in NSMB DS, maybe it'll be like that but online? This 3DS software showcase can't come soon enough!

I just glazed over the Nintendo Network symbol without a second thought, but now I think this might be a hint towards DLC or a coin record battle. I'm getting curious now.

A coin rush online mode would make so much sense not to happen.

I hope this has co-op. Also, I'm glad I skipped out on NSMBW because the format is still fresh for me.

As long as NSMB2 is harder than the previous instalments... NSMBW was a cake walk and NSMB DS was too easy for its own good.

@RYBlast A coin rush mode would make perfect sense, if not a coin battle. 3 minute time limit, gather as many coins as possible and avoid enemy pounding... could work.
