All I am saying is Mario is not as hard as everyone thought it used to be and compared to the older games the new ones aren't easy and that everyone played Mario back then, even my aunt who doesn't even play video games. Tetris brought in people too who never touched a system

Edit: Lol your right I did misquote you on this one, I accidentally put (img) instead of (quote).

I'm just proving my point. I don't think its an opinion about the Wii and DS bringing in the "everyone" fan base to be honest, its just common knowledge. And you quoting me and trying to state something else as a fact prompted me to get a little annoyed. When there's something I'm pretty sure I'm right about and someone is trying to state otherwise, yes I can get a bit on the harsh side. I'm sorry for that, but I can't deal with people not observing what seems like something that is pretty apparent. :|

Your the one bringing up the Wii and DS, I don't deny they brought new people but I am talking about Mario! They didn't make them gamers back then, they didn't go out and buy a system but she always asks to play Mario when she comes over.

I realize you're talking about Mario, I just think that the New Super Mario Bros. series wouldn't still be going if they didn't have the success they did. Which is only because of the DS and Wii. If they released New Super Mario Bros. on lets say, the Gamecube, it wouldn't have attracted the sales it has in reality. Its because of the Wii and the DS that this "New" approach is so successful. I feel like the Wii / DS and the New Super Mario Bros. games have the same objective, to appeal to everyone. I don't think that was the focus when they made, for example Super Mario Galaxy. That's all I'm saying.

I think they were yawning at our argument, and that's fine. Since it was never meant to be one.

I'm sure the game will be a lot of fun, but it's kind of disappointing to see them not really adding too much to each sequel. Mario sequels usually look and play a lot differently than the previous entries, but the "New Super Mario Bros." series all look so similar. Reminds me of the "real" Super Mario Bros. 2, a.k.a. "The Lost Levels." Sure it was a sequel, but it was pretty much a rehash of the first game with the only significant difference being the crazy difficulty level. I guess Nintendo's thinking "If it ain't broken, don't fix it."

Yeah well. Its mainly for the sake of just not having an argument. Its tiring, really. *Waves white flag

It won't be any cheaper on eShop. Nintendo has already said a few months ago that digital downloads will cost the same as their retail counterparts. They say that the value of it being with you at all times, is equivalent to the value of the box/cart/manual of a retail release.

What do you mean he doesn't make them anymore? He was the "General Producer" for Super Mario Galaxy 2, the same title he had in the credits for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Twilight Princess. He's still involved. He even served as the "General Producer" for Super Mario 3D Land. He might not have pitched the idea for the game but he certainly ran with it. Here's what he had to say about his involvement with that game:
