Topic: New SD card?

I'm planning on getting a new SD card for my 3DS, hopefully a 16 GB SDHC. The ones I have in mind are class 10s, and SD 3.0 compatible. They're pretty cheap on Newegg, starting at $15. Anyway, I was wondering if there was anything I should look out for, like certain types being incompatible or slow with the 3DS, or certain brands that I should avoid all together.

Also, when I bought an 8 GB SDHC for my Wii a while back, I payed no attention to the class and ended up with a class 4 (hey, it was practically free). It's pretty slow, much slower than the "official" 2 GB SD card I had before, when writing and/or reading game data. Is this because of the low class, increase in size, or the switch from SD to SDHC? I'm hoping the one I get for my 3DS will be significantly faster as a class 10, but I'm not entirely sure how relevant that will be.

If you meant the Nintendo-approved Sandisk SD card...I can't say much. Considering that your old "official" card was faster than the class 4, maybe a class 6 card will work and make file transfers faster. With any higher class or Sandisk's "Ultra SDHC" cards, I wouldn't bet on getting them reaching their full speed. Heck, they could be incompatible. My best guess...

Class 6 is all you need. Just get a Sandisk Class 6, fast and cheap.

I was searching around my house for a bigger SD card. I finally found this class 6 Dicksmith 4 gbSD card. I looked on the internet to see the reviews and they were terrible .But, I just had to stay with the 4gb one... Was the SD card nintendo gave the same for everyone? Toshiba...?

Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|
