Topic: New Pokemon 3DS Game

I would like to mention I know very little of past pokemon titles and such, but it seems that nintendo.co.jp has new news about a recent game announced. Clear images and screenshots of a new Pokemon 3DS game (Title unknow) are being given, and this is coming in Japan 28th of July. I can imagine this is some sort of remake of the WiiWare title: Pokemon Rumble, because we see an arena like battle field and some sort of robot pokemons of the last 5 versions. Yep, it definately seems as a new Pokemon Rumble game. It's also to have local gameplay and SpotPass functions, but further information is in Japanese and I'm unable to translate.

So what do you guys make of this?

It's Pokemon Rumble for the WiiWare. The current edition includes only the first 150 (no Mew) and the Diamond/Pearl roster. None from Gold/Silver or Ruby/Sapphire. This screenshot suggests a sequel to the WiiWare game. Even for the 40MB limit on the WiiWare games, this one is very addictive and will keep you playing for months if not years. If they made a 3DS version with (of course the Black/White roster, as the screenshot shows) the pokemon from gold, silver, ruby, and sapphire, AND included Spotpass features, this game will be a masterpiece! I do hope they add some RPG elements like leveling-up and evolving.

Its called "Super Pokemon Scramble" in Japan which makes sense since the Wiiware original was called "Pokemon Scramble" over there. It was announced about a month ago. I'm very excited for this release since I very much enjoyed the Wiiware game and have spent 60+ hours on it to date. This one includes all 5 generations which is sick and should keep me playing for over 100 hours Hope this one makes it out of Japan in a reasonable amount of time...

I was thinking what they would do for SpotPass, and I though of either the same thing they did with Pokemon 3D (get free pokemon wind-up toys or items). Or weekly new tournaments and leaderboards.

Looks like no online multiplayer. But I'll still consider it. I just want Koffing and Tirtouga off the bat plz <3

I already have a thread about this game somewhere here (but it got so few posts that it's now somewhere far on pages). Every Pokémon have been confirmed to be in it already about two weeks ago. Japanese name of the game is Super Pokémon Scramble and it has some new game modes: Charge Battle, Pokémon Collection Battle Mode and Street Pass Battle which I'm not going to talk about more this time, you can find more information about these battles from Serebii.

EDIT: I forgot to put some more important information. It will be released in Japan on July 28th and will cost 4800 yens. Game will only have 1-2 players.

Yeah that title actually reads Suupaa Pokemon Sukuramburu.(Super Pokemon Scramble) We'll probably see it in February of next year if we see it at all. I think the game was a bigger hit in Japan than it was here.

@armoredghor: I don't know about that. No doubt the original had better sales in Japan but its sales were quite good here too. It was on the number 1 spot in the Wii Shop charts for a long time before dropping. I think its still quite high up on the charts if not number 1 again. As long as it says "Pokemon" on the box, people will buy it no matter where you are in the world.

This actually looks like crap to be honest, especially for a retail game. I can't wait to see what they do with a real Pokemon game on 3DS.

i wouldnt mind trying it out if it was an eshop title. but a retail game ? no.

plus i never bought a pokemon game, and unless its a huge title like black and white, my money will no be spent on this.
even there, i didnt get black white game yet, and its far in my game buy list.

What? This isn't real pokemon. It looks kinda fun though, honestly. But still. I think I'm still gonna go with buying Pokemon White today.
