since the 3ds tends to home a lot of fighters... you think the new mortal kombat will come in the party too ?
forget kratos yeah, but maybe soeone else would join in.

BlazBlue is on the way, so that's three.

I'd like Mortal Kombat on a Nintendo platform as it's been too long. This new one seems good, so why not?

Ahh indeed it is.

If it managed to not get banned here I'd be all for the increase in 3DS sales, but I'd let it pass.

I hope so!
I just really can't get into Street fighter, and the others (except BlazeBlue looks amazing 0_0) I'm a mortal Kombat fan. I would love to see the new one ported over or even just a brand new title. That would be.... Awesome

love to see redone mk3. Ds one was fun, but fatality in 3D, oh yeah. MK3 ds was the best ds fighting game (sad, I know)

I could see the new game being announced for the 3Ds and NGP. Sits a great game with a lot of content withvonly bad thing being a crappy story.

There's a good possibility MK9 will appear on the PSP successor, but I doubt it'll come to the 3DS.

The can is open, but the worms are surrounded by fish hooks. Current faves: Batman: Arkham City, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection

They made Mortal Kombat for the original DS (even with online play) so I don't see why they wouldn't make one for the 3DS. In fact, they even had included all of the fatalities... check this out...

Imagine if they ported the new Mortal Kombat over to the 3DS... that would be sic.

Regarding my initial post, I wonder if the MK9 engine can run on the 3DS without sacrificing graphical quality or framerate. However, the PSP2 wouldn't have any trouble at all.

That would actually be pretty cool to see! Also being able to execute fatalities with the touchscreen would be awesome (I believe they allowed you to do that on the DS version)

It might. If Capcom could do it for Street Fighter IV (port the game over without sacrificing a lot in terms of graphics) then I think they'd be able to pull it off with Mortal Kombat. It really depends on the developers.
