No I can imagine people didnt want to get bombarded with Spotpass messages everytime new games get released especially if they are releasing a few each week. I already get enough spotpass messages and unlike streetpass messages they dont delete after you have read them.

@mariofanatic - That's just the same article twice. Thanks for the info anyway!

@3DSRPGs - Spotpass is designed to give you info on system updates and DLC for games you already have. As the eShop is updated every week, it would become annoying after about 3 or 4 times getting a near carbon copy of the same message telling you about the new games available in the eShop. It's not like Nintendo is being ultra-secretive that 3DSWare/VC/DSiWare games come out every Thursday.

Exactly.

"will only be able to spend $1,000 per month"

Well.... I was so planning on spending $1,002 dollars on the first month of the E-shop. Now I am disappointed.

Looks like we still have to play the waiting game before the eShop reaches its potential, but it's shaping up. The way the actual shop is set up sounds extremely promising.

One thing the shop really needs is an account, but I've heard no website confirm or deny that it has this. I'm sure people would be more willing to buy the shop's expensive content if they knew their games could transcend broken/stolen/new consoles.

Finally! I can see what I'm buying without having to do a crapload o' research. CANT WAIT MUCH LONGER...

All I'd like to know is are we going to get high quality games on the eShop for the 3DS and not malware like Angry Birds and Ninjump.

How is Angry Birds shovelware? I mean it's not exactly my type of thing, but the game leaks personality everywhere, there are tons of levels (and new ones always coming for free), all for one dollar. For a shovelware game, the developers sure did put a fair bit of effort. Meanwhile, 3DS Ware starts at 2 dollars and if DSiWare is any indication there will be expensive shovelware instead of just junk. Poor reviewers.

I think Angry Birds could be a hit on 3DS Ware if people weren't so busy bashing it like it's Pong Toss or Incoming.

You dont have to be a genius to understand those limits will also limit Nintendo's income, specially when the few chances of 3DS eShop on being an afordable business lay on hardcore/fanboy/collector gamers that are actually willing to spend that much money (when the catalog gets bigger), and considering the overly cheap competence, the question here is why Nintendo ALWAYS drops the ball one way or another?

Its not like many users are willing to exceed the $1000 monthly limit every month, but I think the core market of this business will be willing to do this at least once or twice in the system's lifespan. Me for example, I rarely downoad WiiWare/VC on day 1, I dont even download games five days a year, every 6 months I like to consider reviews and videos for every game and then I build a list so there were times I used 40000+ points in a month (I'd die on anxiety spaning this buy on 5 months)

@Talavera:
Just imagine this:
You are a parent.
You give your son a 3DS.
Your son finds your wallet and your credit card in it.
There is no limit on how much money you can spend.
???

You have to enter the credit card information EVERY single time.
