Topic: New Art Academy

I'm surprised that a thread hasn't been made for this yet- but who else is excited for this game?

I only have Art Academy First Semester as I thought it was good enough for me and I just liked doing my own art work anyways. But this upcoming Art Academy is a full package and brings in enhancements I sought for in the Art Academy series. Here's a few features:

• teaches users the basics of drawing and painting
• offers more advanced lessons as well
• offers drawing and painting techniques, materials and styles
• certain image references for these lessons will be displayed as 3D videos
• new lessons will be offered as DLC (not known if this is paid or free)
• create with virtual pencils and paints, colour pencils, pastels, scratch pads, and more
• includes a color wheel for complimentary colors
• Blending tool for blending pastel colors together
• share creations through wifi, StreetPass or Swapnote
• create and distribute your own lessons
• in-game virtual museum where you can hang your own paintings

I'm stoked to pick this up with my new 3DSXL. That large beautiful screen will benefit my drawings and Colors!3D as well.

Yes, this is why I waited on Colors 3D hoping a new AC would come out. Though is it going to be released as a digital copy? I want to download to have it with me. Will also get the 3DS XL.

I wonder if you'll be able to do anything in 3D like Colors...

I'm assuming it will be digital by the time it makes it over to US. It arrives in Europe on July 28th, same day as 3DSXL's release. I rather have a game like this be digital on my 3DS than to have a cart.

I love my drawings.

It comes out in NA in September I think, according to the Nintendo Direct Video. It looks interesting, I might pick it up. But is it going for a reduced price when it launches?

Don't take my word as concrete, but I'm assuming it'll be priced at $30 here.

I'd be somewhat surprised but definitely pleased if it turns out to be $20.

I'm getting it, I always wanted to get the 1st art academy but it didn't seem like it had enough content for me, but this one with Swapnote, StreetPass, and possible DLC, yes I'll get it

In the UK Game has listed the price,at a decent £24.99.
So if this and Freakyforms Deluxe are,£20 each,I'll buy them.

It's nice to see some cheap 3DS games about.
