Can the New 3DS XL still use SDXC cards like the current 3DS XL?
I currently have a 64Gb SDXC Card in mine and am going to need to get a Micro Card because they now use that.
Also, I'm even thinking of upgrading the card to a 128Gb SDXC!

Idk the answer to your question but wow, it'll take you years to fill that up. I'm not even half done with my 32GB card and I download stuff a lot.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

My 64 is half filled, and with the New 3DS Exclusive Games, they System will have a few more years of life to it.
Plus, all of this should be able to work on the next true Ninty Handheld.

It appears that it will only support the Micro SD card, not regular ones.

I know that. That.s not my question.
I want to know if they made it so that SDXC can't be used anymore.

I read somewhere that SDXC can't be used anymore but I don't know if it was official.

I'm really feeling it.

I hope it's not!

Now that these are in people's hands, I hope we get a definitive answer!

Of course you will be able to use the card. The only difference is in the formatting, so as long as you format the card correctly you are fine for using it.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure that Ninty didn't lock out the card.
Thank you.

Except Ninty says the same thing about the regular 3DS:

What SD Cards Are Compatible?

Applies to: Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS
Note:

While it is possible to use SD standard or SDHC standard based cards, we cannot guarantee that products other than the official SD card will work.
Information:

The Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS systems are compatible with SD cards up to 2GB in size, and SDHC cards of 4GB and larger. All other SD Card types are not considered compatible.
