I just bought a new 3DS XL

The 3D effect is not functioning correctly it's like the new 3ds upper screen 3d images not synced and not appearing as 3D at all, they just on top of eachother
I searched all over the internet and there were nothing related to thia matter, no YouTube videos no iFixit related issues nothing,
So does that mean no one on earth have this common issue !

Is this a common issue in new devices ?

Does anyone here have the same problem ?

If yes does it require replacing the upper LCD ?

Now before you guys say anything

  • I did all the basics, such as distance, trying with and without my glasses, cleaning the camera, etc.. etc.. but nothing changed
  • i also did not install any CFW or did not do any modification to my console

So what's the answer ?

@GlassICE Did you buy it 'New' from a retailer or 'used'?

When a N3DS gets switched on for the first time the operating system setup process includes a 3D check, where you slide the slider to max and you're shown an image moving away and towards you and it asks you to confirm it appeared properly - have you been through that process?

Sorry but I don't understand your answer here.

Anyway, you can run the 3D calibration process via the System Settings menu if you want. That might help.

@GlassICE While this Nintendo Support page link may not be your exact issue, it still may give you an answer. Also, you asked if it's a common problem; I don't think it's a common problem.

Are you sure your eyes are capable of seeing 3D? Have you ever used a 3DS before?

Some eye conditions (such as strabismus) could prevent people from being able to view stereoscopic 3D images.

Have you ever watched a 3D film before?

An affiliate link to a Link in need is an affiliate Link indeed.
