I was looking around for a while since I was in the exact same situation as you, and I found that Samsung's Micro Pro 32gb was as fast as (and obviously has the same amount of storage as) the Sandisk Extreme Pro, yet was half the price or better. I looked at Sandisk first as Nintendo said they had conducted functionality tests on their cards, but that's no guarantee, and anyway, someone in the reviews for the Samsung one said that they had bought it for use in a New 3DS and that it worked perfectly. Obviously I can't guarantee either, but I'm getting the Samsung one.
Ok I think I'll grab either a San disk or the Samsung. Had to order a size 0 Philips head though. My only criticism of the new designs is having to unscrew the back to access the card slot!

I can understand the design, the problem is Nintendo being stingy and not including a cheap screwdriver!
I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!
