Topic: New 3DS XL face buttons hard to read...any alternatives?

I have a New 3DS XL (Black) and the XYAB buttons are VERY hard to read. The buttons themselves are all black, with a very thin lettering on each button face. For A and B its not so bad, even thin, the Yellow and Red stand out against the black enough to be read in decent light, but the darker green and blue that the X and Y buttons use, make it almost impossible to read even in a well lit room. (The official pictures of the unit show lettering that is much brighter than it actually is in real life, unfortunately).

For many of you, this would likely not be a problem; you have muscle memory for each button location, and never actually have to look. They could be all blank for all it matters. I am this way with my Sony products, but as much as I enjoy my Nintendo products, they are not my primary focus, and thus do not get my muscle memory, so I occasionally have to look to make sure I know which button is X or Y (its especially difficult with X since muscle memory tells me thats where B is on my New 3DS).

The New 3DS (not XL) is much better for this, with B (white on yellow) being the only odd button
I have scoured the internet, but have come up short, so I thought I would ask here: does anyone know of a place that sells replacement buttons for the New 3DS XL. Its important that they are not the same (as in just replacement parts), but maybe a 3rd party that makes the non XL button style for XL users, or something of that sort. (The XL buttons are slightly bigger, so just getting replacement buttons for the normal New 3DS is not a viable alternative).

Spraying and Decals are not an option I am willing to consider (and I do not have access to a 3D printer), but I am open to other suggestions if anyone has them. This post was not intended as a rant, if it came off that way, more of me looking for a solution to a problem.

I don't understand the problem... It's X at the top... Y on the left.... A on the right... and B on the bottom. This is me at work without any DS in front of me. It's always been like that.

So spraying and decals are out. How about painting the 2 letters with brighter versions of those colors? Try to memorize the button layout as you have with your sony products? Try a Braille type solution?

Paint would quickly rub off. I have been using Nintendo products since 1985, if I have not memorized the layout by now, I doubt its going to happen.

Its not that I dont know where the buttons are. As with the previous poster, I can sit down and recite the layout, but in a pinch, or if I have been playing my PS for awhile, I can never be sure that I have the buttons exactly and will still, after all these years, press the wrong button because I thought the layout was different. Muscle memory can only take you so far, and my twitch reaction to X is the bottom button!

I like the braille-like idea, but anything like that on the buttons would make playing for extended periods of time, painful.

The braille solution could just be soft material. I understand when somebody reads braille it's made of a hard plastic usually or something similar. A silicone/gel material would be soft and wouldn't hurt.
