So i recently lost my SD card and I am planning on buying a new one. So i can't find a straight answer anywhere else so i am trying here. Will this specific SHDC card work with the new 3DS XL "SanDisk Extreme 8GB SDHC UHS-1 Flash Memory Card Speed Up To 45MB/s- SDSDX-008G-X46"
No, I'm afraid not. If you want an explanation, it's because normal SD-cards are slowly dying out. Because of their size, they're impossible to implement in small, thin devices such as smartphones or tablets, while microSD-cards are. And since those devices have more need for external storage AND are becoming more relevant than old-fashioned computers, it's very likely that regular size SD-cards will be more rare, therefore more expensive than microSD's with the same capacity.
