Before jumping the gun from the article's title, read the first sentence of the article:
Respected trade publication MCV 'has been led to believe' that 3DS will release in the UK on or around March 25 for £200-£230.
No solid information here. Nothing unexpected either, I think.

March 25 is sensible, as is March 18. £200-£230 isn't. I think £160-£180 is more sensible, but I personally think it'll be £180.

Crap. £200-£230 is about $313-$360. That's worse than the Japanese price ¥25,000=$300ish. I'm not sure if if this is a bad price in the UK or not, but if it's going to be priced anywhere near this, I don't see how it will sell in the US. Most smartphones are cheaper than this with much more under the hood.

@Cipher £230 is really steep, but I think £200 is pretty reasonable considering it's new technology. We can't expect it to have a low price like the Wii had, thanks to all of its glorious old tech. If you want to get it at £180 you're might have to wait for a price drop, I think.
@Token Girl Electronics are expensive there. You can't really go by exchange rates in the UK's case. A new DS game, typically sold at £29.99 IIRC, converts to almost US$50. The US price will definitely not be that high.

I'm going to wait for the psp2 announcment before I pre-order as its hard to pay potentially £230 for something as powerful as a gamecube when in 4 years it will look ancient.Depends if psp2 has twin sticks HD and a powerful processor i may buy it instead.
