I purposely made an account right now just to post this.
So my sister broke my New 3DS XL that I bought this February. The screen freezes randomly on random applications. So I go to the site to get this repaired and I get this:
The serial number is associated with a device that isn't eligible for our online repair setup process. As such, we ask that you call (800) 255-3700 to speak to one of our Customer Service representatives to determine the best repair options for your system. We offer live agent support from 6:00am to 7:00pm Pacific Time, 7 days a week.
I REALLY don't want to call, because of all the waiting and digital voice stuff, so can someone tell me what's going on and how I can deal with this!
@Santa
1.I mean the entire system freezes. I have to force shut it down, but I think it may have to do something with the spine of the device, because most of the time it freezes when I close the device or adjust the screen.
2. What is there email address?

You're going to have to ask @Jazzer94 (as I just spent 10 minutes trying to find it for you).
Worst comes to worst, the service with the Nintendo hotline is really nice, and not that automated (I've had to go through the process before with my original 3ds).

My warranty is still active, and I got my serial number. But no, it won't work! I need someone to tell me why!
What do you want us to tell you? We won't say anything that will convince Nintendo.com to suddenly recognize your serial number. We can't fix your system for you. Your only option is to call Nintendo.

She had the time to come here, make an account, actually customize it to her liking and create a thread, and reply to a few responses. Says created an hour ago. That time could of been best spent talking to nintendo. Not trying to be rude, but avoiding a situation like this in hopes of finding an easy fix isn't gonna work. And as for @Santa according to her profile, your term Man up would be more appropriately stated as "woman up". Then again, am I arguing PC just for PC sake? I don't really care but just throwing it out there.

Nintendo's tech support is awesome! They're pretty much always nice and helpful, usually low waiting times, and they use nice remixes of classic Nintendo tunes for the hold music!
