You can't connect your 3ds to a pc. If you buy a new sd card, just copy the content of your old sd to the new one and you're good to go !

This page has info on which cards are compatible: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_...

The Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS systems are compatible with SD cards up to 2GB in size, and SDHC cards of 4GB and larger. All other SD Card types are not considered compatible. miniSD and microSD cards are compatible with the use of an SD card adapter.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL is compatible with microSD cards up to 2 GB in size, and microSDHC cards of 5 GB and larger. All other SD Card types are not considered compatible.

SDXC and microSDXC cards are not considered compatible.

To transfer data from one card to another, you'll need to transfer everything from one card to the other. You can do this by plugging the sd card into a computer and copying all of the files, and there are USB adapters if your computer doesn't have a slot for sd cards. This page has more details on transferring data to a new sd card: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-3DS-2DS/Usage-/SD...

I use a basic 32 GB Sandisk brand SD card. I think Sandisk as a whole will work on 3DS.

I use a 32GB card. Works like a dream. When migrating to the New 3DS XL, I bought a micro 32GB card. That too works like a dream. I thought that SD cards up to 32GB were officially supported so I stuck with that. If I had suspected otherwise, I would have bought a 64GB card instead as I'm out of space.

To be safe, a 32GB SD card will work just fine. I cannot guarantee that you'd be able to use a 64GB card without issue, however, many users here have stated that they use 64GB cards so that too is an option worth considering if you think that you'll be downloading a lot of games on your shiny new 3DS.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

I have got myself a nintendo DS with a flashcard with games on it and I have transfer games from computer to flashcard using SD Card Reader as well.
But now I need help with another thing.
How do I cheat on games using flashcard? Such as R4 and Ace2kard.

Well, I suppose you can go out with your flashcard and not tell your games what you are doing. That will destroy your relationship though.
