Topic: New 3DS - Stuck at 'Select Language' screen

Turned on my new son's New 3DS and can't get past the initial Select Language screen. Touch screen is completely unresponsive and buttons do nothing (except power, and Home which brings up the 'no can do' icon). Turning off and on again does nowt.

sigh

I'm charging it up and will attempt the L / R / X - Power On fix when done.

Anyone else had this?

Update: it was the screen protectors!

Recharged, tried again, same problem.

Switched off, tried R/L/X + Power On, same problem (stuck in calibrate screen).

Switched off, removed screen protectors, switched on - ALL OK!

I swear I'd put them on properly, no bubbles or dust, completely straight. They were non-Nintendo ones. They came with the New 3DS case and accessories kit made by ButterFox. Be interested to know whether others with the same make had the same probs or not.

I have the same problem as well. I have two new 3ds xl, one has unresponsive buttons and touchscreen, the other one only the buttons were unresponsive. Pissed....

Sometimes the protectors can "bend" at the edges and press the screen, regardless of quality.
