As well all know new Nintendo ,el3DS models are on the way with boosted processing power. In fact Nintendo announced that there will be certain future games that will only work on the new models, like the recently announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. This thread is for discussing future potential titles that could be exclusive to the new models.

I could see at least half of them being ports.

If it's a new mainline Pokemon title, I'm afraid I will cave in much quicker.

I wouldn't be surprised if another exclusive game got announced in a December direct that appeals more to the west. And yeah I could see Pokemon Z or X2/Y2 being exclusive to the new models. The highlights could be 3D overworld and improved frame rate.

If Metroid shows up in that one, Then I gotta have it!

I admit, at first I was rather mixed.....but then with better features and the fact that we don't know how things will show up in the end, I guess I'm ready to invest my cash in it! Of course I will get it along with Wii U so that shouldn't be too hard.......I hope.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

I'm with you on that. I think even the metroid trilogy is a candidate.

I do hope to see more than remakes happen though. If xenoblade runs on this thing, it is justifiably seen as an equivalent in power to the wii. This makes the new 3ds more a backwards compatible super nintendo than a reissue of the same console, so to speak. This console might live a bit longer than most of us anticipate right now.

Eh IMO if there's any Mario game that should be ported or remade its Super Mario Sunshine.

Maybe a new 3D Zelda game. Remember the oracle games didn't work on the game boy but they worked on the game boy color.

I hope so, but I'm positive that Twilight Princess will get ported to 3DS instead of a new game.

Anyways, I hope that the developers who choose to create New 3DS exclusive games make the games look better.
Yes, I know the GPU has NOT been upgraded, but often graphics on 3DS were limited because of framerate issues, so the graphics had to be toned down because the CPU couldn't handle too much and they thought framerate>graphics . It's why Resident Evil Revelations looks so good. It isn't very CPU heavy (long empty hallways, 30fps etc.)
Now that we have a better CPU, games CAN look better.

I think we could also expect ports of The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. I feel the extra power is to better accomodate ports and non-indie third party titles. Remember DKCR 3D has half the frame rate of the original Wii version.

On the one hand, the GBC had exclusive Legend of Zelda games, but the DSi didn't have a whole lot of exclusives. I imagine it will be more like the DSi situation because that one occurred more recently.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

True, its probably best to keep the amount to minimal but we will see.

The fact that Nintendo is even making exclusives for this new handheld while alienating their massive regular 3DS userbase is just baffling. Making the next mainline exclusive to new 3DS is just baffling but inevitable.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I think 7th gen Pokemon, the next Zelda game, and a collectathon Mario game might be N3DS exclusive.

Actually the GPU can be upgraded. The PICA200 they have in there is only running at 1/2 it's maxed out capabilities just like the main CPU is also running at 1/2 speed. Nintendo, king of cheap, just like with the DS to DSi and GB to GBC used lower clocked specs to start and then boosted them to max while padding things out with more RAM to use. I'm pretty confident this New3DS is just a 3DS clocked up to its max potential with more RAM thrown at it as that's they're pattern. The framerate issue is there, that's a RAM problem as much as anything as the 3DS has just 6MB of it. When the DSi and GBC got put up they added 4x the RAM to those systems. If they took the 3DS up to 24MB and then full clocked the CPU and GPU they could do vastly more without changing out the existing parts.

BLAST: Baffling why? Are you old enough to have owned the Gameboy and Gameboy Color? They did the same thing there with a LOT of games from major franchises and even cool exclusives. Metal Gear, Zelda, Super Mario Bros all were system unique. There was a laserdisc port (very low color) of Dragon's Lair arcade, and there's a RTS game on there which is a clone of Warcraft too. The GBC fragmented heavily what did only work on that versus the old Gameboy so it's not baffling, it's history repeating itself.

Pokémon Yellow, Gold, Silver had GBC color, and Crystal was a GBC exclusive.

3DS has 128mb of ram..... More than any of Nintendo's previous systems (excluding Wii U ofcourse).
EDIT: Oh you ment VRAM! Yeah, that should go up a bit.
Especially if we want to see games like Minecraft. I think it has considering Xenoblade is a very VRAM heavy game.
