Nope, Galaxy was the apex of the series. As much as I've enjoyed Galaxy 2, it never quite reaches the heights of its predecessor
I entirely disagree firstly for the reasons I posted on my previous comment (much easier to get to levels) but also for the sheer variety of levels. I thought they had it perfect in Galaxy 2 and they had it equally as perfect in New SMB Wii although... slightly less epic because it was 2D. Also, Galaxy 2 had a lot less swimming so that's another plus.
On topic.... same thing as Galaxy 2 or New SMB Wii with some new powerups and interesting levels. All I want to see.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
I think they should re-release/remake Super Mario 64,Sunshine,Galaxy or Galaxy 2 Or they should make mario sunshine 2 or a brand new 3d mario platformer adventure.

Retro games, Modern games, all AWESOME!!!
I'd rather see something completely new. How about Mario is sucked into a computer by Bowser's vaccum ability. Mario is trapped inside the computer, while Bowser got out and kidnapped peach. Throughout the game, Mario has to go through worlds within the computer, in search of codes that he can use to find his way out. He gets transported to different computers via USB flash drives. Baby Bowser messes around on the computer and makes things even harder for Mario. Mario has to battle digital versions of his enemies, including Bowser.

I've heard of this idea from somewhere else, but it's very good. How about Super Mario Micro? In this game, Bowser has shrunken the Mushroom Kingdom using the power of Kamek's magic and kidnapped Princess Peach. Mario, who shrank like everyone else, has to explore a huge world in order to save Peach and crush Bowser's plans for conquest and domination. The worlds would be huge, new characters would appear, and faithful characters like Luigi and Yoshi would return.
I think I remember hearing that idea from a different forum topic, or as a news comment.

I don't see how Nintendo could make another 3D Mario game without the gravity design from the Galaxy games... without that, the game would be really boring...

I think it would be cool if it had mario travelling through different dimensions and each dimension changed him in a certain way e.g in one he could be turned into a toy. I know this sounds like your average mario power up but the art style for each dimension could be different as well making for an interesting gaming experience

I had the same idea. Mario could be in a pixle world that only accepts objects that are of a pixle dimension. Mario has to change dimensions; he changes from his 3D dimension to his 2D pixle dimension. In order to get access to different dimensions, you get stars that allow you to switch to different dimensions.

If this idea is actually used by Nintendo someday, I'd want them to have a Paper Mario dimension.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
Well, it's been announced! What are everybody's thoughts?
I'M MORE EXCITED THAN EVER!!!!!!!!! I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT NINTENDO TO ANNOUNCE THIS!!!!

I think if it's another Galaxy game, which is what it's looking like to me, I'd be very disappointed. I just want another Open-feeling Mario game, and nothing short of that will suffice. If it turns out to be just that, I'll gladly throw the $300 I was saving for a PS3 at a 3DS.
