How do you think Netflix will on the 3DS?

i think it will be ok as long as your wifi isnt laggy, or if you have a good hotpoint.

so its a service based on streaming. anyone knows if we can pre-cache a video ?
you know, load it before going to work and watch it in the bus.

cause the time i will be able to watch something on my 3ds is on my way to work, in the bus. i cant stream in the bus, so i need to be sure i can pre-load the videos and watch them later.
i dont care if its not a permanent download, but i wont pay for a service that i wont be using much.
mind that the pric is cheap, its like renting 2 movies per month at my local rental video club, but having access to any number of movies (even if not up to date)

How much does the subscription to NetFlix cost?

I wonder if it will automatically stream at the lowest bitrate to make it run better on the 3DS. I already have mine set to the lowest. In the US do you have the option to set your streaming speed on Netflix, or is that just in Canada?

I think that's in Canada, because i never found that option on the Wii channel.

Unlimited streaming will run you $8 a month, but if you want that along with unlimited dvds, that's $16.

For those of you that don't subscribe, you do realize they offer a free one-month trail...

Does anyone know if they have plans to release 3D movies on it?

It seems to be slower than my PC and it crashed my 3DS on the first run but I got working now. The streaming is running good so far.

Crashed mine first try as well, but now it's working okay. About to watch The Pixar Story

...is awesome.

The menus are 3D; nice touch.

Mine loaded one 20-minute episode of a show. Now it's not loading anything and locking my HOME and power buttons; I have to hard reboot to get out of it. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaalp?

Same problem here: Crashed first time. Hard. Did a shutdown and it worked great the second time around.

For the location I am in, I need to use the old Nintendo USB WiFi adapter. It seems to handle the stream just fine.

I've watched 4 episodes and no problems and it loads just as fast as on my computer. Maybe it helps that I'm streaming at the lowest bitrate.

@iphys I would do that if I was Canadian.

It's working great for me. And the sound is surprisingly awesome too. My only complaint is that so far the things I've watched are not widescreen, meaning you have to deal with black bars along the sides. Still yet, I don't have an iPhone, iPad or any of that so it's great to finally have portable Netflix!

Tried to watch Dr. Horrible and all you could hear was the sound effects and the music for the soungs but not any of the voice. Watched an episode of Archer and it worked fine.
