i remeber netflix having a poll about how people would like it if there were netflix on a handheld (or something like that) it would be awesome on the 3DS with it's enhanced wireless capabilities and better graphics.

I wouldnt mind streaming Netflix to a handheld or even my droid phone. It would be nice on those car trips for the kid. I remember a few years ago they had videos on the Gameboy Advanced. Stuff like Spongebob Squarpants and Fairy Oddparents. We drove down to Disneyland one year which for us is a 6 to 8 hour drive and we got a few of those for the kid and he really enjoyed them. So I can see Netflix being just as good on a handheld.

Wait, Netflix has Spirited Away.... YES! I would so do it, but I'd prefer things that allow you to rent/buy a movie without a subscription. I'm sure Nintendo's going to have their own thing, though.

Games I'm Looking Foward To Most -

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

If Netflix decides to include 3D movies, I'm all for it.

I'm pretty okay.

You know m.netflix.com lets you at least save movies to your queues, so at least there's that.

If it does happen, I wonder what the Touch Screen will be used for.

That would be FANTASTIC. I just got Netflix a few weeks ago, and I'm obsessed--I got the instant streaming disc for my PS3. It'd be great to have something like that on the go.

Probably navigating through the movies box art and title, then when clicking on it via touch screen, the top screen can bring up the info about it.

To each his own.

Awesome, I just got it last week myself, and got the disc for my wii. Works like a charm, it would be awesome to have this on the 3ds. Currently watching series I missed when they aired.

To each his own.

And the remote controls would be on the bottom screen.

If Nintendo wanted to make it's own movie streaming service, they would have down that on Wii instead of letting Netflix make a Wii service. If you're talking about a 3D Movie store for the 3DS, then Nintendo is probably working on that.

No. what i mean is maybe they saw how successful it was on the wii and that they were fools to not have thought of doing that with netflix in the first place instead netflix doing it thier own way. Plus i dont think nintendo could have done it with the wii on thier own without someone who knows how it's done. so maybe they have "watched and learned". sorry for not being specific! :)

I couldn't imagine Nintendo running their own movie streaming service. Think about it: Instead of hosing the Flipnote sharing network for Flipnote Studio theirselves, they got a Japanese company called Hatena to do it for them. Plus, I think Netflix might have offered Nintendo a big sack of cash in order to get Nintendo's okay on the Wii, both of them knowing it would be good for both of them. Someone I know got a Wii just because Netflix was (at the time) going to be on it. And that person NEVER bought or owned a system before that. If Nintendo hosted their own movie streaming service, that person wouldn't have bought a Wii.

I'm pretty okay.

So then what you are saying is...if netflix is available to the 3ds, more people will buy the 3DS just because of the netflix? cool

I can't see ninty going into the movie streaming business either. It would just be way too much legwork to get distribution rights when other companies like negroid already have huge libraries. It will be interesting to see if there will be an actual download capability for movies. I could see decent res. 3D titles being a bit too hefty for many ppls. wifi connections. It would be awesome if you could play mp4s from the iTunes store (or wherever you personally get digital movie copies from).

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.
