HI all good morning.
Today is my birthday and I receive enough money to buy a nintendo 3ds Xl .
I lock on amazon to see the price first I loock on amazon uk and saw the console for 175£ and later 195$ in amazon USA. So I discover that the American consoles a a way cheaper.... Now is my question: if i buy a gameboy from Usa will come probably a USA version, so it come to my mind that maybe i will be blocked and wont be able to play my uk or swiss game ? o.O in my fresh console ?
First off be aware that only third party sellers sell Nintendo consoles on Amazon USA. Apparently Amazon themselves do not sell any Nintendo consoles. So you might be paying a higher price than other places for a NA 3DSXL. Second I am not sure what you are asking about Gameboy games. Do you mean the VC games on the 3DSXL or are you actually talking about an actual Gameboy System?
Cause if you are talking about a Gameboy system Gameboys aren't region locked to my knowledge so you will be able to play Europe games on the Gameboy system. If you are talking about Gameboy games on the 3DSXL VC than no they are region locked so you wont be able to play European games on a North American 3DSXL or vice versa.

Really nice all this fast awnser i'm really happy with this fofo.
Huum!! ok lol wat I mean by gameboy is nintendo 3ds is just I have a gameboy so i cal by mistake. tehre is really not a way to buy so in amazon ? I kind of trust on amazon for that and if i have a usa version I will be forced to play usa games :/ or buy cheaper usa games on internet ho can be not so bad
edit: and can you pliz send me the link were I could buy as you say cheaper in here ? and authentic ^^'
OK Np. YOu can buy from Amazon US but as I said they dont deal with Nintendo directly all the systems and that are sold by third party sellers. If you can I have heard that Amazon Canada still deals with Nintendo so you could get a NA American 3DS that way.
But yes if you buy a North American 3DS you will only be able to play USA games on it. You wont be able to play any European, or Japanese 3DS games. You will have to buy all USA games for your 3DS.

There is a way to get by the region locking but all I can say is you will have to find that out on your own by google or on some other sites cause per the community rules we can't discuss that here. Just be warned in order to bypass the region lock you might have to do stuff to your system that will void the warranty so think about that before you do that.
As for your question about Super Mario Bros DS I can't recall if DS games are region locked or not but perhaps someone around here will know the answer to that.

Hey guys. I think this thread is pretty appropriate for my question, as well.
I'm looking to buy a 3DS XL (I'm in USA), and it seems the best deal out there is currently the bundle with Mario Kart 7 for $199.99. Does anybody know if there is a better deal to be found? I believe the system by itself is something like $179.99, but I do enjoy Mario Kart.
And one last question: about how many games can you download and store on the XL's memory? Thanks!
As far as I know thats the best dealing going around. Check a few places like Bestbuy, Walmart, Gamestop etc. and see if they have any sales going on for the systems thats the only way you are going to find it cheaper.
As far as how many games you can store on the SD card it all depends how big of files the games are and what else you store on the the SD card such as photos. Of course you can always get a bigger SD card if you run out of room or are afraid you might run out of room.

Thanks! I bought the 3ds skin off of amazon US website a while back from a pretty nice seller lol I wish I remembered her username though lol. Sorry... I was going to get beatiful barbie 3ds skin at the time but amazon only had hello kitty. Lol I'm a fan of both hello kitty & barbie.
Happy Gaming! (^_^)
that's so cool!
I decided to deck my 3DS in just Polka dots (my skin should get here today or tomorrow.)

Superbs all this cover think i will buy one after my 3ds xl arrive <3
Edit: ok so to conclude I will buy a nintendo 3ds xl... Ok the american one is cheaper and the games 2 but the difference is so low and you have longer dispatch and problems with region so I will pay 40 £ more and buy a 3ds xl in Asda Europe (pal) model.
Edit: as i know I didnt see any topic about all this splendid covers, As my question seems solved I will create a new section fofo were everybody can post they covers and share they experience than we don't need to spam on this question, and hopefully a modo will clean this part
