Topic: Need Help with Pokemon Y

Specs: 3DS XL (Mario/Luigi bundle), Pokemon Y, all updates on 3DS and Pokemon game downloaded and installed. The 3DS XL and Pokemon Y game are both new, as I just purchased them early last month.

Tonight, my Pokemon Y cartridge started acting up. Whenever I press the home button while the game is running, the game would freeze. Also, logging on to the internet from my Pokemon Y cartridge was very slow and has caused the game to freeze on at least one occasion. This has not happened before.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have not dropped the 3DS or done anything strange with it.

Edit: I tried playing my LoZ: ALBW game and then pressing "Home" and the screen goes to "Home" as normal. So, the problem appears to be confined only to Pokemon Y.

Sorry I can't help but if you're not too far in the game yet it may be best to just redownload the game.

I agree, just redownload it, it'll fix the problem 100% guaranteed.

My game is hard copy, so I cannot redownload it. Also, I have a lot of rare Pokemon and I don't want to just get rid of them.

Go to someone's house who also has it and swap cartridges. Problem solved. Don't get caught.

Except all your pokemon are on his cartirage.

Just blow on it or wipe it carefully, this has happened to me in the past.

Also it's worth mentioning you cannot use pokebank on digital downloads.

??? What do you mean? I have Pokemon X digitally and I use the Pokemon Bank

Have you tried downloading the latest patch?

There's a new patch. Hopefully that fixes this issue.
