Anyone else getting geared up for this? I tried out Ridge Racer 3D and wasn't all that fussed. I'm after a good racing game for 3DS that isn't Mario Kart and The Run looks like it should fit the bill nicely next month.
Slick visuals, Autolog, 2-8 player local and online play, plus gameplay more akin to Hot Pursuit: breakneck racing, crashes and brutal takedowns, with no stupid getting-out-of-the-car sections. If Need For Speed: The Run isn't the best racer on 3DS when it launches on 18th November (UK), I'll buy a hat for every person on the NLife forums and then eat them.
The Run looks pretty good so far, only seen a couple screenshots and trailers and it looks pretty awesome, can't wait for it.
Might even trade Ridge Racer for it, it's a good game, but it gets mighty boring since you can win pretty easily... get the drift part down and you're guaranteed to win every race without much, or little, challenge. :/
Everywhere I've looked says online play is featured, although how up-to-date that information is is anyone's guess. Personally j think EA would be royally stupid to not include online play, seeing as there are no other 3DS racers that support it at the moment.
