Topic: My Nintendo 3DS is here!

I can't believe I have to wait until April for my 3DS to arrive...... ^{le sigh}

Just 3 short weeks now. The wait is becoming unbearable!

This is the first time I've EVER bought a console on launch, but the 3DS is such a seductive box of tricks that I couldn't resist. I'll be interested in the Pilotwings and Nintendogs reviews personally, as I'm undecided between them. I want to get one of those so that everyone in the family can, conceivably, get something out of it.

I forgot to ask, are you still able to take photos and have them displayed on the top screen like the DSi did? I liked that...lol

Well I would imagine since the top screen is the only screen with 3D, and the pictures you take are in 3D (optionally I assume?) then they would have to be displayed on the top screen n_n

Yeah but I saw videos where the top screen was displaying logos for whatever program you were selecting in the menu....gah!

The 3DS sound is even lower than DSi. I'm playing with it all the way up and it could still stand to be a tad louder.

I haven't tried it with headphones. I just don't like using them. I'll try it out real quick and see.

Nope, still not that loud. Perhaps they were worried about it draining battery life.

Hey Corbie. Can you make more than one Mii on the 3DS like you can on the Wii? Does it let you save them in the Plaza?

Omg i can't wait til i get my hands on one.I imagine it should feel more hefty when holding it compared to the other DS models. So corbs, Does the top screen make the 3DS a tad bit heavier?

Yeah, my headphones naturally increases the sound by quite a bit, so I should be fine with them.

I just tried my powered headphones and they cranked it up quite nicely. LOL

How long can you play at the maximum 3D setting without eyestrain/headaches?

So was the Mii Maker kind to you when you captured your Mii? I ask this because the demo unit at the event in Brisbane created a Mii of...well...me, and it was hideous!

I don't think that 3DS liked me very much, because others, mostly girls my age, have said I look 'adorable' or 'cute'.
