Topic: my friend wants to mod

Hey guys.
So as the title says,my friend wants to mod his new 3ds xl,and im trying to stop him mostly because its wrong.
But i dont know any risks of modding,only the fact that you cant play online but its a 3ds so..lol online
can someone tell me any risks of modding your new 3ds?

Well just tell them to ask nicely and we can make them a modera- oh wait.
