Yeah its confirmened and all.... but I would like something more like a download all movies/tv shows if the 3ds has enough memory to save 3d movies without trouble why can't i get my latest episode of futurama(in 2d)?
It will be interesting to see how this feature is implemented. I highly doubt they will be released on catridges, which means they most likely will be download only- which then means the wifi will have to be vastly improved.
If this is all the case, then I am very excited to see how well the online capabilities will perform. Because obviously we arent going to be downloading 3dHd movies on a slow or bad internet connection. But this is all speculation, only time will tell.
You know, while the resolution probably wouldn't be as great as actual TV sets, the prospect of viewing 3D movies on the go may convince some people to pick up a 3DS ... I haven't checked, but I think I can safely say there isn't an app to watch 3D movies on the iPhone.
20 years from when this technology is truly perfected, we will soon see those 3d portable hologram-esque movies and games we always saw in movies and comics. THE FUTURE IS NEAR! Lol.

So true. Anyway, isn't the future always near? I mean, even the time between when I typed this word and the last is now the past. This is mind-blowing stuff when you think about it or if you're just duhm.
I'm not particularly interested in this feature, since I generally don't care for watching movies on small devices, but I suppose the 3D effect, together with some interactive features or information on the touch screen, could make it interesting. It's sort of a vague promise for now, though, so there's no telling how prominent the feature will be, or if it will really pick up at all.

If there are movies, won't the quality be a lot worse trying to fit all of those pixels on such a small screen? Then again, the screen is pretty large.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure the system could handle it perfectly. I mean sure, it's not gonna be high quality, but probably somewhat close. GameBoy Advance was able to play some movies (like I said before, the only movie I've seen on it was Shark Tale, others being SpongeBob and Odd Parents stuff, lol) pretty ok, kinda blurry visuals and choppy framerates here and there. The DS, a good example were the Lunar Knights short clips, pretty impressive...pretty sure it could even handle live action stuff. (I dunno, probably) With this new system now...with it being more powerful than the DS....well, think about it, lol.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'd love to see a film without glasses and save them onto my 100 gb sd card (if that exists). Honestly, my biggest concern is that they might not release an update of Flipnote for the 3DS.
Do flipnote count as movies. Probably not, but its still something to watch. Wouldn't Flipnote In 3D be the best app ever? Sorry for going off topic. EDIT: The GBA could play movies?
