Topic: monster hunter tri G without online ???

just read that MHtriG doesnt have online mode ? what the hell?
is that true ?
if so... its totally pointless to play this game ?? i dont get it

I don't see how the lack of online makes it pointless seeing how the usual for the series is not having online.

i stopped playing MH 1 on ps2 because the online mode was dead.
i wont be getting it on 3ds sadly.

Seeing how you asked if it was true in your orinigal post, I guess you can't be completely sure about it.

It hasn't been officially confirmed that there's no online, but that's what it's pretty much looking like.
Just to let you know, MH1 was really lacking in content, and many of the features were online-only. In the PSP games, you could completely solo the guild quests, or play them with friends locally. Either way the single player mode on the portable games is always a bit better than the console games, has more features and stuff.

But if all you wanna do in MH is play with people online, it can't be helped.

To be honest, playing with real people on the same room is much better (you can hear them screaming while they run for their lives). But i guess it may be hard to find another person with a 3DS to play with.

If there is no online it shouldn't be a big deal. MHTriG is looking like it's filled with content.

Maybe Xlink-Kai will be compatible with 3DS at some point (problem with DS is because the wireless feature was incompatible but the 3DS is different in that regard).

no online is a no-buy for me.
a grinding game like this must have an online mode. even if mh 1 is old and doesnt have all the content of the most recent MH, the best moments i had arethose quests i did with people.
and seriously, how can it competr with a game like heroes of ruin where they announce its online mode already.
i didnt buy my 3ds for the online gaming, but the feature played a part in my decision.
what is happening now is that all agames i played so far didnt have a multiplayer, or the section was lame, very lame.
stop focusing on pretty graphics, give us online modes !!!

that killed starfox to me. once i got all the medals, the game felt empty. the battle mode against bots gets old

You must hate Nintendo for their lack of online modes in most games then.

This mayh ave online if it hits us shores. Both rem and sf4 had online. Also if i recall the capcom vs taunosko game didnt have online in japan but did here.

Tri G may not have online and I dont really expect it to hit our shores but I would expect Monster Hunter 4 to have a worldwide release and online.

I tried playing Monster Hunter games solo. I've never more bored and frustrated in my life. If Tri-G has no online, it's no go for me.

I have a better time soloing online more often than playing with randoms....especially when the randoms suck and tend to screw things up. coughalacough
So I could care less for online, I just want it already.

If it makes it over to the west I'll buy it. i mean I soloed all of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my own and as far as I see it Tri G ain't gonna be half as hard as Freedom Unite. Well I say that now but seeing how my good old friend the Plesioth is making a comeback I might be sorely mistaken...

I don't really care. I played through Freedom and Freedom Unite by myself, although you can use Xlink Kai with that. I'm used to playing the portable entries alone. If you want to play MH online, you could play Tri on the Wii. Or you could play Portable 3rd on the PSP over Kai.

It seems odd that there won't be online though. Would've been nice to play with others, and I can see how some people feel MH is pointless solo. Alone it is essentially a huge grind fest with half hour long hunts, while multiplayer is less boring, with shorter hunts and strategic teamwork.
