It's not really much, but I got my copy of NGamer magazine today. They did a review of the Japanese game (85% by the way) and in it they mention several things that point towards a release in Europe and NA. Some of the things said:

  • 'Out: Now - (Japan) Autumn 2012 (UK)'
  • Verdict - 'Tri G has everything that makes Monster Hunter great, but in the absence of online it's probably better to wait until a bit later in the year for the European release'
  • 'Capcom have hinted online will return for Tri G's PAL release

Obviously, it's no confirmation, but they do seem to be very certain of it's UK release at least. I've sent them an email to try and get a definite answer, and I'm still awaiting the reply. I hope it's good news!

If true, then I'll have a reason to purchase the frankenstick afterall. I hope Capcom pulls a TvC here by implementing online multiplayer into the US/EU versions. My fingers are crossed.

Official Nintendo Magazine UK put the exact same thing in their Tri G article too. Autumn 2012 release. Maybe this will hold true and it isn't just people guessing.

@MiracleBlaze My guess is the Autumn 2012 date comes from ONM's original estimate — an estimate that was entirely speculative, as their editor told me — and Capcom would surely want to announce the game itself rather than in the pages of NGamer. Still, stranger things have happened... right?
