This game is a celebration of all the places and creatures Monster Hunter has visited over the years; why is that so hard to understand?
I've already said Gen is my favorite MH game, I just think Tri does some things better with regard to setting. That's not me not understanding your point: That's me disagreeing.
The deserted island was a complete ecosystem that, when you add bears and sheep to it, loses its identity. It's flatly less complete without the Lagiacrus and Royal Ludroth's den. Like @Meowpheel said, it's weird that there's jaggi and jagia in the Jurassic Frontier without any Great Jaggi (there are Gendrome though, sadly enough).
Conversely, my point is that when there's so many large boss monsters in areas they have no connection to (even from past game's ecology videos), then they start to feel random. The areas start to feel less like ecosystems and more like video game levels.
@FattyWhale_42 I thought I checked on here a few times this morning and my FL but never noticed anything, my bad. I'll be on tomorrow... or later today
They give big money in the form of steel, and if you're really lucky, silver eggs worth 1000 and 10000z each, plus actual rewards including rare stuff like Dragonite ore from the area you're gathering in. They're by far the superior quests for serious gathering. Harvest Tours are now only for general exploration or quickly obtaining a specific item without worrying about an objective.

Decided to try out Striker with the Glaive, I think I can get used to this...I keep making stupid mistakes though, so used to 4U's controls. xD (and yeah I know that setup is also on here, not using it, screw Guild, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 What arts do you run to make it worthwhile? IG arts are fine and Striker certainly gets the job done, but neither are really worth the loss of flexibility in my eyes. Having to use the slowish forward leap to approach instead of having the nice thrust in particular... bleck.
