I guess Fatalis is in the same category? Mind I'm not talking about elder dragons, but rather the huge, siege-style monsters. Not all of which use the dragonator (thanks Nakarkos) or ballistae (tyvm Dalamadur), but all of which use the anti-dragon bombs (as long as we're on dry land)?
So then Dire Miralis (ol' lava-blood) would be one (?), but Amatsu and Alatreon wouldn't...? I'm gettin' confused, could someone help me out here?
...Well I just fought Redhelm.......it didn't last long. (I forgot to eat, lol)
Didn't expect them to show up that early in low rank, also didn't expect them to be THAT had...sheesh...

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'll need some of you guys later for a Grimclaw IV run. Randoms just don't cut it anymore...lol
I had an utterly worthless gunner in the group earlier who not only tried shooting good ol' grimclaw from across the entire f...freaking area, completely disregarding critical distance which really isn't that much to ask from a light bowgunner, seriously they should make the bloody tutorials mandatory if them being optional means I'll have to kick every other gunner because they can't play for s***. It's quite tiring really...where was I...uhh. The gunner, not only did they not understand how to use their weapon the smartass also triple carted. Like..how?? You're a kilometer away from a monster with incredibly obviously telegraphed attacks and freaking die. It's a Tigrex! The thing just runs towards you in a straight line! And why are the other dumbnuts not at least TRYING to save the gunner's rear end with life powders? Why is NO ONE in generations using life powders!? God dangit! lol
Mini-rant aside, I'm gonna play some in a bit (30min max I think, wanna grab something to eat first) and wanted to give you a heads-up. Tell me if you can/can't join. Posting the room later.
Had one of those "dumb gunner" moments back in 4 Ultimate, in a Gogmazios fight of all places. A bow-user trying to rain arrows from way too high, not only that but also hitting his chest and back which, until broken, take absolutely no shot damage.
The problem isn't so much tutorials not being mandatory (great way to make veterans complain), it's the fact that you can go online immediately without nary a moment of instruction, and easily brute-force the early monsters with superior numbers. So far they're "winning" without actually learning anything. They don't bother managing items since everything necessary is supplied (and thusly never learn to make lifepowders), only craft what they get without any sort of actual planning, and don't get any of the useful tools supplied by offline play. So when they finally reach the point where they can no longer rely on others to do the heavy lifting, either they wise up and go back to the village quests they neglected and finally learn things, or just quit now that their easy-bake strategy is no longer working.
Personally, I'd make it so that online play is locked until you reach a certain level of village quests (local play still being unlocked from the get-go though, since real friends communicate strategy better), so that players at least learn to be somewhat self-sufficient.
Now, speaking of that Rajang earlier, if you were to adept dodge his thunder beam, could you proceed to run through it and hit the goat-ape-demon in the face?
And I swear, Rathalos seems to love me no matter what game I'm playing... he showered me with rubies in 4 Ultimate G-Rank, and now for the first hunt I had with him in Generations, he gave me TWO plates. One as a shiny, the other as a cap reward (boosted by Najarala armour).
If anyone is on and can help with the Gammoth HR5 Urgent, I'd really appreciate it. I've been soloing up until now, but this guy is brutal.

EDIT: Nevermind, finally got him. I forgot how great Mega Dash Juice is.
