I can't really see them going back to Sony, and if they do....then that could be it for localization. From what I understand, Sony doesn't really care about the series...where Nintendo has been helping it out immensely.

Somehow, I managed to beat the village request to defeat the gold and silver Raths in the arena. That took me every ounce of skill I had, multiple tries and lots of healing items, but I won. That was the very last currently available village quest for me, though it looks like there's still more that I've not unlocked yet.
Taking another break from this game, Amatsu (oddly enough) and Alatreon are going to cause me to break my system. At this point I might just hunt with one of you guys for when I record the fights. Dunno why I can't kill Amatsu anymore, since I did it in a decent time before...

Something weird happened with me today. I was trying to do the quest to capture the Seltas Queen, and I laid a shock trap after I thought it was limping. After it was trapped, I did the tranqs but it didn't capture it. However, I then did one single attack on it while it was still trapped, and then it was caught.
Maybe I just misread the tells and thought it was ready to capture when it was actually just tired. Or maybe there's something special about the Seltas Queen I don't know about.
The Seltas Queen probably wasn't weak enough for a capture until you hit it a few times, I had that happen a few times in 3 Ultimate when I was still learning about how does limps look.
Exhausted Seltas Queen has dim eyes and drools (not that weakened and exhaust are mutually exclusive). It might be a general thing that monsters can technically start limping before they're actually cap-ready, but it's likely a very tiny margin of health where that can happen, on top of (bad) luck with the AI. At any rate, only hard numbers (or Capture Guru) could prove this.
There is something special about the Queen you'll want to know about related to captures: if it's currently linked up with it's mate, you can't use pitfalls as it will just lift the queen out of there. And another fun fact: it's actually faster when limping than when it's walking normally.
Did Queenie try to eat the normal Seltas? I had something similar happen with another monster that managed to pin me down while ready for capture. Apparently they can also recover some health by recovering stamina.

That sounds cool, I've never had Queenie try to eat the Seltas. I've seen it once grab Seltas and smash it into the ground and kill it back in 4U though.
Besides going to sleep (even when forced), there's only really been three examples of monsters explicitly being healed: Qurupeco's healing song, Congalala eating Blue Mushrooms... and accidentally shooting a monster with Life shots.

Well I had Capture Guru, the monster's icon was flashing after hitting a few times. But After it pinned me down and started snacking on me the flashing stopped....so....

I had a frustrating time doing the Dreadking Rathalos I quest. I'm using the fully levelled up LBG Astalos Shocker, but I timed out after 50 minutes of failing to defeat it. I used up all 60 Thunder S Lv 1 ammo plus around 40 more from combining items, all 28 Thunder S Lv 2 ammo, 45 P.Thunder S Lv1 ammo, some slicing bullets, 99 Normal S Lv 2 ammo, and some Normal S Lv 1 ammo as well. I also ate food for the attack up and Felyne Temper bonuses to boost damage. Yet it wasn't even limping at the end.
I wanted to use the LBG against it to mix things up, but I'm just gonna go back to my ever trusty Switch Axe for him.
I never think of using barrels or other explosives. Anyway, I managed to defeat Dreadking I with my trusty Switch Axe, though it still took over 40 minutes. I'll need to look into explosives or other strategies for his later levels.
I ran out of time on my first attempt too...though I haven't actually beaten him yet....too busy being frustrated with Amatsu and Alatreon right now. lol

Mostly I just use blast weapons on Dreadking. You need to focus on breaking at least one of those wings ASAP (consider an early trap to accomplish this smoothly, although shocks don't seem to affect for very long) so that you may proceed with flashing him to death like any other Rathalos. This will also have the nice effect of draining his stamina since monsters lose a significant chunk for being knocked out of the sky.

Dang it, my family's router is stupid sometimes.
It goes out for several seconds randomly, which nobody but me notices or cares about- so I tend to end up getting a dropped connection from certain hunts. Most frustrating was Hellblade 8 last evening- we were actually doing pretty good and somebody even had Capture Guru. But the router decided to go out for ten seconds during it.
...The router is supposedly "better", but screw it, our "inferior" router actually kept up a steady connection.
Anyways, finally maxed out my DreadKing set. Once I get the Hellblade Axe maxed out, I will have become Genericness, Destroyer of the Unique (TM).

Actually, I don't remember seeing many Hellblade Switch Axes online, if at all. Rather, it's all about those Blazing Ognars.
Edit: Anyway I just managed to make a set with both Sharpness+2 and Razor Sharp... and Peak Performance. A mix of Esurient parts from head to arms, Arc R pieces the waist down, a good Sharpness talisman, one two-slot weapon, a few Flawless decorations and presto! Certainly easier than grinding Hellblades, and it has a nice light vs. dark appearance about it, too.
@DarthNocturnal It is an unspoken requirement for a MvC character to be either chatty (or have someone do the chatting for them like Ammy) and/or have a defined personality, so that strikes player avatars as choices. The Ace Hunters from 4th gen are probably the only conceivable NPCs with fighting capability that could fit the hunter role, if they don't choose Felynes. I'd love a monster, but that's unlikely when all they do is roar for quips. Even Nemesis, the most primitive, bestial character in 3, talks a little.
