They should've had him use it in this game, though...because at this point Jho is just gonna be a 4U port in XX basically. Which kinda bugs me, also why I want the previous director back, he at least made things different for returning monsters. Her it looks like the guy just ported or dumbed down monsters.
Even hypers are boring compared to Frenzied/Apex, and Crystalbeard was underwhelming, don't think even have any actual new moves.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 Crystalbeard does use the 3U G-Rank rolling superpound. But otherwise you're just cherry-picking; Frenzy didn't add any new moves, and neither did Apex except for a select few (Zinogre's admittedly threatening homing shots, Rajang's laughably easy-to-avoid giant slab, and Deviljho's fissure stomp if we're to stretch it a bit).
And don't forget Lagiacrus, who, if the devs were truly lazy, could've just been given Ivory's moveset and speed to make him functional in Generations, but instead gave him a significant overhaul. He's the only monster to be given such a reworking, because he's the only one who NEEDED it. Anything else is just gravy, or just changing things for the sake of change, which isn't very smart, not to mention against the general purpose of the game as an anniversary. How about we wait for an actual new gen for monster changes that will actually make sense for whatever new things it might bring?
But I digress. You just keep complaining that High Rank monsters don't act like G-Rank, mister "anything that isn't at least G-Rank is a waste of time".
Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

I just timed out on the tricky HR 4 quest to deliver White Livers. I made sure to use a carving weapon so that I didn't stun the Kelbi to get a guaranteed horn drop, and I ate for the felyne carver food boost (which doesn't help since Kelbi don't stay down long enough for 2 carves). Plus it was annoying because less and less Kelbi were appearing as the quest continued until eventually they were only appearing in one area. At the end, I only had 4 white livers, along with 20 high-quality pelts, 5 raw meats, 15 kelbi horns and 3 warm pelts, so I got unlucky with the drops.
Here's the kicker though: I misread the objective. Only 3 white livers were needed, but I thought it was 6. So I could have succeeded if paid enough attention.
Edit: Just tried it again, and I got 4 white livers and completed the quest all in under 5 minutes.
I have a couple Assist cats that I can't decide what one I should level. Both have earplugs and boomerang pro, one has Crit L and a shock trap but is missing Dung bombs, while the other has dung bombs but is missing crit L and no shock trap xD. They both have emergency retreat and big/piercing boomerangs and herb horn and all that stuff ^^ What one should I go with!?
@Tsurii I was thinking the same thing! I don't need any traps with fatty around ... but I do want crit L and the trap is nice when there is no fatty xD
I got back from my vacation yesterday and I tried hunting Deviant Monsters with randoms, I'm basically having awful memories of 4U again. It was the level 2 Dreadking Rathalos so we had to capture it, they kill it within 5 minutes and instantly left the hall. I think I'll just stick with hunting with you guys or my friends if I want to hunt a Deviant. Randoms are almost never reliable for this kind of stuff.
