Going to try and get my G3 permit today, just need to do the Chaos Gore Magala urgent. I have done the fight for others , its not bad and Gore Magala is one of my fav monsters to hunt

That's true, but sometimes mixed sets give you even better skills...but look awful .-.
I just hunted my first Gore Magala, and while his armor look really good, I found online that the Ceanataur/Gore armor is even better...but doesn't look good. That was my question.

I FINALLY took down Shah, holy crap was he annoying, lol. When I get back home this weekend, I was thinking of recording another multiplayer hunt soon.

Got my special G permit this morning! Also finished up all the Caravan stuff ^.^

I burnt myself out on this game awhile back. I'll look into getting back into it in a few months. gotta get things in order on the homefront.

@Fenrir6: Fashion is irrelevant. The purpose of armor is to keep yourself from dying horribly. If you see a combo you think would work better, I can't imagine why you wouldn't go for it.

I wouldn't object to a Style Savvy-esque minigame where you improve the way your armor looks, though. Maybe in MH V...

You should definitely play XCX if you have already gotten it. Amazing game, especially if you loved the original. It is better than the original in quite a lot of ways, except the main story which could have been better. I almost beat my MH4U playtime (260 hours+) and still not done with the postgame and setup experimentation. I did dilly dally a lot though in the start so it is inefficient.

You still didn't hit G3 yet? Cool I can help out! Let's hit some hunts this week I need to get my hunting mojo back as well. Trying to learn a few more weapons before I make gunner sets. Gotta learn 'em all!

Ah the bow. I didn't truly learn the weapon as I just experimented with it on lower ranks and then after making G-rank bows in MH3U, I tried going for the fish that were too big for me... I tried Alatreon as a newbie bow user xD

It does have a lot going for it. I need to try it again.

Best weapon for simplicity is definitely the hammer. It can be absolutely amazing if you know the timings well, but those differ greatly for all monsters. Love golfswinging friends with it though, tried it with a friend of mine. Although its moveset has hardly evolved since the ages haha.
