Topic: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Discussion

So I fought the white fatalis with my Tank gear. (def 863 before food buffs) I was surprised at how much of a difference it made. usually the lightning strikes leave me with less than half my HP. It also helped I had the felyne defender skill. Anyone here tried going for a defense focused armor? I personally like being a tank.

Anyone free in around 2 hours?

There isn't any restrictions to do G2/3 quests if you're G1, the only quests you can't do are scroll quests which aren't key quests anyways.

Nah that's fine. I learned Guard Pointing in G-Rank as well. Although it is tough to master and in multiplayer a bit tougher because you can't entirely predict enemy attacks and wait for guard points i.e. you have to be more flexible. It is a pretty neat thing to know

The timing isn't that bad. Basically you transform to Axe instead of pressing the R button to block, the window is around 1 second long.

It is great to practice on Tigrex or Diablos. Plus it works amazingly well with Impact Phials.
