hello guys! trying to make link's awesome sword and shield, but Akantor is just too much to solo. looking for some people who at least know how to Monster Hunter, and preferably have fought Akantor before.

PS: I'm HR4, with hi rank brach set. i can whistand most of akantor's attacks but he's just way too much for me

I think most of us here are HR100+ is the problem. We've all been binging on this game non-stop for months. There's still a few people on here that are low/high rank though, but not nearly as many.

But, that's when you just go ring the gong and invite randoms into your hall (remove any password, list target, and set to high rank). Shouldn't take long for your room to fill, depending on the time of day. Link's DLC is pretty popular so I imagine you'll get help fast.

I can't really list target because i don't have a non DLC akantor quest yet. Also, most randoms that show up are unbeleivably unprepared for Akantor, i mean like, 200 def with -35 fire resistance.

i know. small oversight on my part. It's just hard to associate great games with capcom anymore, considering the bad decisions they've been making. Konami seems to be on the way to becoming the new king of poopy decisions though XD

They're A-okay by me as long as they keep making great Monster Hunter games. Nintendo doesn't have the talent or willingness to make a game as mechanically complex as Monster Hunter. Certainly not without having hours of tutorials, speaking of...

Me too, I really like it so far, having just completed the desert area. I'm not the sort to complain about this, especially in long games, but the tutorials detract from the game a bit, I feel. Some of the puzzles could be better if they would just leave the player to figure the out themselves. Nintendo won't make a complicated game like Monster Hunter that has the player pressing all of the buttons to see what they do and find all of the combos. Which is disappointing, somewhat.

That's one of the things i love about Monster Hunter, and something i experienced in 3U (my first MH game). where it was like "here are a bunch of weapons, go hunt a dinosaur". and then the Great Jaggi wrecks you, forces you to actually strategize, and by YOU understanding the game, you become better, and the game allows you to make new weapons.

It felt so good to wreck G.Jaggi in MH4U with the begginer armor proof that i learnt how to Monster Hunt XD

Totally. It only gets better when the creatures go from 'dinosaur' to 'Monster.' Monster Hunter is a master course in attack animations.
