Don't worry, the only frenzied monster in that quest is Zinogre.

The monsters appear all at the same time or is is one on one? I might try it.

I just did all the missions from 1* to 6* along with their urgents and the caravan leader told me he had a last challenge for me, then I had to talk to the caravan guild lady to activate the missions (since she was also involved in another event at the same time, I had to talk twice to her).

As soon as @Iggly is done playing Mario Kart 8 with his friend. Said half an hour but I'm in no rush. Taking my time preparing my items and trying to research some feedback on the quest though my Google search is turning up nothing.

But ya, should be soon. Whenever he is ready and I make the room and post it here, by all means please join us.

@Morpheel: Rajang and Zinogre appear at the same time in that quest, followed by Shagaru Magala.

I highly suggest equipping tremor resistance since Rajang can be really annoying with his ground pounds, and Zinogre will take advantage of your immobility to trash you.

Use the ledges to your advantage to perform mount attacks. You're going to need them.

Oh gosh. Hopefully the Rajang and the zinogre will end up damaging each other a few times. I don't have tremor resistance armor, but my Brachy HH can do that.

Well, I loaded with supplies, so let's see what happens!

So I got yo S Magala last night and was doing well till I just ran out of potions. Thought I had everything I needed till I went to combine my Blue Mushrooms. Yeah all I had was 10 herbs to fight him with. Still I was doing some nice hit and runs for a while till he cornered me. Good thing they have little health otherwise I wouldn't want to do them till I get better armor. Oh and that was my 3rd attempt there at the end.

I don't think my reflexes and the touch dpad to control the camera are good enough to do that mission without some overkill equipment.

Have you considered buying a Circle Pad Pro? I couldn't imagine playing this game with the virtual D pad. I think it's the best investment a person could make if they're going to be playing this game as much as we play it (well, a New 3DS is the best investment, but a CPP is the best at a moderate price point). Heck, I think the CPP is superior to the C stick tbh- The only reason I dont play MH on my old XL with a CPP is because of the stable 3D, Miiverse pics, and faster loading... and the fact the C stick is still pretty good.

I watched your Kushala video. Ya know I've found if you just focus on dealing damage and not going out of your way to try and mount, you'll kill the monsters a lot faster- at least until you're skilled enough to mount on your first attempt every time. And I personally try to never mark monsters- it just makes it hard to get the other two colors for your triple buff. My trick I use to aim for buffs is to sheath my glaive, run directly toward the part of the monster that I want the colored buff from (usually head for red, belly/back for yellow, and legs/wings for white), then while holding R to run, I press X+A simultaneously to perform an unsheath+Kinsect sendout. Doing this while running directly at the head, belly/back/tail or legs/wings guarantees I almost always hit what I'm aiming for.

Just some tips that may help you as you progress...

I rarely go for the triple buff, I just aim for red, and since the head is a pain to get normally...yeah. Might try the X+A combo at some point, though...but I find marking easier sometimes.

Now that I think of it, I have never actually seen a CPP ever.

Anyway, since I use a 2DS its not really an option.

The game works perfectly already, it's just a bit harder when there's two huge monsters in a closed area. It's not like I need to do those missions anyway, so I don't mind.

Oh really, just red? Well yellow is definitely the hardest to get, but white is the easiest. If you even just combined white and red, it would increase your attack substantially. But all 3 doubles your attack power IIRC, just so you know. Basically turns your glaive into a hammer damage-wise.
