I finally got the Maiden armor. It's hard to find good hammer users brave enough to face three Tigrex. The fastest time I could get with a friend was 11:36, very close to S rank's 11:00.
@Sanya
Once you beat the Urgent it then becomes an Advanced quest for the rest of the game. So I'm going to assume you beat it the first time, then it became an advanced which is why you can't find it atm.
@FattyWhale_42
I gotta go to bed now, but I'll help you beat it tomorrow if you still haven't done it yet. And I know weapons might not seem to click at first, but a little practice and you could easily master the hunting horn, greatsword, long sword, dual blades, hammer or insect glaive. I'd stay away from the switch axe and charge blade though, as well as the lance and gunlance, until you master an easier blademaster weapon.
Hunting horn is great because it deals just as much damage as a hammer as far as raw damage goes, but instead of being able to charge attacks it plays different notes with different attacks. 3 notes for all hunting horns- X attack is a note, A attack is another note, and X+A attack is the third note. Each hunting horn has its own set of melody buffs like Negate Stamina, Attack Up L, Negate Blights, Wind Resistance, Earplugs, etc. the trick to being a good horn user though is to not just sit back buffing your team. You want to learnn to attack the monsters but do so with your attacks in a certain order to line up melodies in the process. That way you kill two birds with one stone. Also, all horns have a Fencing buff (attacks won't deflect) and movement speed increase buff while weapon is drawn.
Long Sword is a really great choice because it's (relatively) easy to learn. But don't be deceived, there is still much nuance to properly wielding a LS. You'll want to learn the combos, how to attack while simultaneously performing an evade-hop with X+A, how to use the focus bar, etc. LS give a lot of mobility, and while you're executing a Focus combo you pr attacks won't deflect. Best thing though is the long reach of the LS. An overhead swing is great for reaching the high tails of Pink Ian or Deviljho, or for dealing damage to a hovering Rathalos.
Dual blades are a really nice choice due to extreme mobility, easy to learn and great for status effects/blast. Downside is they dull quickly so you'll want some kind of sharpening skill (Sharpness+1, Sharpness, or Speed Sharpening at the very least which is an easy skill to gem in). Also, they're short ranged so mainly you'll want to attack legs to trip monster, then cut off tail when monster is down. Bring some mega dash juice and spam demon blade mode for quick kills.
Finally, I would recommend the insect glaive. This is my personal weapon of choice for this entry. It's a little tricky learning how the Kinsect is upgraded (if you learned gunning though it should be a walk in the park), but the insect glaive has a LOT of positives, for one, good mobility. For two, easy mounting. For three, glaives can be either bunt or cutting, so you get the best of both worlds. The trick to using the glaive efficiently is making sure you always keep your 3 colors of buffs you get from sending the Kinsect to hit the monster stocked up. Sending out the Kinsect can bring back red, white, or yellow buffs (or green which heals but that's another topic of discussion). Red increases attack and can usually be gotten from the monsters head. White increases the effects of the red, and yellow gives knock back protection- activate all 3 buffs at once and your attack power will DOUBLE. By not using buffs you'll probably average less DPS than other weapons, but if you're good at keeping the triple color buff for most of the fight, you will easily deal more DPS than any other weapon type.
There's some good tutorials by gaijinhunter if you want to learn how to use another weapon. Here's a link to the YouTube channel. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCT84SVapAfSSD_iMfpKbFbA
Just find the weapon tutorials and start practicing. You'd do well to learn at least one blademaster weapon I think.

I guess...I hate my internet...or maybe it's the router, I don't know anymore. T.T
Anyways Tigrex actually never appeared? He spawned right next to me in that web area.
And yeah, I know I need to (and was planning to eventually) learn more weapons. But since this was my first MH game, I wanted to keep it as simple as I could, while I learned everything else.
@FattyWhale_42 If it's okay, I'll jump in as well once @JaxonH is ready. A piece of Dala is always worth a try!
@MorphMarron Yep. If the mission is failed, all items collected will remain, but consumed items will not be recovered. If the quest is abandoned, however, the inventory returns to the state before the start of the mission (all gathered items are lost, all consumed items return).
I'm curious why you don't play with randoms at all to beat quests. The MH community is top-notch, in a league of its own. The fan club creed actually states "I will love my fellow hunter and be kind to new players". It's just the Monster Hunter way. I used to hop online in MH3U and G rank randoms would join my hall just to help me raise HR and farm armor sets. Its a little more diverse now with so many new players added to the fold, but all of us veterans still hold to that creed. I guarantee you would really enjoy starting a lobby and letting other hunters join and hunt with you. A lot of times it's hunters in your same rank so you're all in the same boat trying to beat the same monsters. Once you find a team that has that cinergy where everyone is on their A game and you're curb checking monster left and right... it's a great feeling man.
